A bit more advice

OK so my first match in Scotland following the buddies will be St.Johnstone away. What I need to know is...how much money shall I bring?

Now I'm probably getting a lift to it from a pal of mine so forget that one, but for match entry, programme and a burger what kind of £££££ we talking here? And would whatever amount I'm quoted be a fairly average price to take to most away ground?

I've no idea what to expect, I usually take £15 to an away game o'er here which gets me my bus, entry, burger, bus raffle ticket and a cheeky pint if I'm lucky

This season and last

Ok now the window has more or less closed for us how does this seasons squad compare to last

Goalkeepers out
Chris Smith
Mark Howard

Goalkeeper in

Samson

Not really seen much of Samson but as we have Gallagher as number one a would say we are more or less in the same position as last year which isnt a bad place to be as Gallagher is a great goalkeeper

Defenders out
Inness
Ross

Defenders in
Travener
Van Zanten
McGregor
McAusland
Peter Bradley

So far a would say McGregor looks a better player than Inness and with the new signings we now have depth at the back and IMO we are in a stronger position than we were last year

Midfielders out
O'Donnell
Johnston
Dorman

Midfielders in
McGowan
Lynch
McLennan
Hagerty
McQuade (to play right Wing a would say this is where he will play most)

Apart from Dorman a dont think we lost anything that was hard to replace and with McGowan providing the link with the middle to front i think we have found a very suitable replacement for Dorman and again more depth and some width with Hagerty and McQuade we now have much more attacking options.

Strikers out
Brighton
Mehmet

Strikers In
Wardlaw
(McQuade and McGowan can both play upfront)

I was a fan of Mehmet but his 3 league goals speaks for itself a cant imagine that being hard to replace and it looks as though Wardlaw has the same type of engine and workrate as Mehmet and hopefully a few more goals.

I think overall DL has addressed most of the problems signing a left back, getting a link between the middle and front and providing us with some width that seemed to be the most obvious positions we needed and a would say we have covered them so all in all I am fairly happy with the transfer dealings by DL as we have signed hungry players who all feel they have a point to prove and want to do that at our club I am extremely hopeful for the upcoming season.

after the gow saga and saying about 5 times that we will find out within the next 24 hours if hell sign another twist is that scott severin has signed for dundee utd . danny is quated as saying scott assured me that he wanted to come but couldnt due to family reasons he was building an extension on his house nd wanted to stay in england. so how a couple of months later has he signed for united. a total joke they must all think cause hes new they can take the piss out of him thats what it seems to me . danny needs to learn to shut up and stop letting folk know his business as hes made an arse of these 2 transfers
