Can't really remember, think it was about £300.

Me and Saint Gav bought it from http://www.barmyflag...lagdesigner.php

The idea of a frenetic, mass of loyal supporters making noise from start to finish is a great idea, but do we not have the North Bank?..The north bank has always been the area for fans who sing from start to finish. What you need to do is attract more people to renew thier season ticket for the northbank. Old foggies like me used to stand there in the days of the terracing. I do miss the atmosphere sitting in the Reid Kerr end. I do get some funny looks when i join in the singing. I sit with a bunch of guys now, who, to be honest, dont actually support the team(financially yes, but vocally, no). They sit and hurl abuse and criticise and only cheer when we score, but never join in the singing.

I plan to sit in the northbank next season as i dont want to be vilified for supporting my team. This is what i would encourage fans who wish to make some noise to do. Renew your season ticket for the northbank!!!

Goodbye Love Street, hello St.Mirren Park - you have a lot to live up too. Pillars blocking the view, disgusting toilets and a shitey PA system to name but a few - ah how we all loved Love Street!

Anything that improves atmosphere is a good thing in my book but it would be best to keep it fairly informal as organised fun can be a bit guff sometimes

Agree with a few of the other posters, don't like the Ultras name at all.
Do the Aberdeen ones not have some sort of awful che guevara-esque flag?

That's my thoughts but good on you man for giving this a go...

but if only half the northbank sing the noo how are you going to get the whole stadium to sing? you are now asking people to join up to the ultras to sing all game - but where are these people coming from?

i would love to agree with you but we just don't have that fan base. even at £15 the place wouldn't be nearly sold out - only ever big games I'm afraid. Plus say the club drop the price to £15 - these what 3,000 fans would start coming -again love to agree but whilst i understand that some fans just simply cant afford football nowadays i doubt there is a LARGE number out there of the diehard sing till your throat hurts fans.

Having lived in Toronto with all their fancy stadiums and displays, the crowd are like sheep and will only make noise when instructed to do so. They actually have a countdown on the big screen saying "Make some noise in 5...4..3..2..1" and display the words of the chants which get no more adventurous than "Go Jays Go".

The spontaneous singing of the North Bank is very commendable and effective. You can't beat a 20 min version of "ooo ooo blackandwhitearmy". And it's brilliant when your mate continues into a 3rd or 4th verse of a song just when everyone else decides it is over. That momentary dilemma of continue because you are committed or sit down and limit your embarrassment is great!

But conversely, and it has been posted on other recent thread (apologies for not remembering who first brought it to light), stuff like this is very impressive.

It would be good for kick off at the start of the match. Impressive and intimidating for the opposition fans and players.

If you are a non-violent group it would be best to come up with a name other than "ultras" which is used by violent and nazi groups in other countries. I have to say that when I see Aberdeen fans or whoever with "ultras" banners, I think of them as folk intent on causing trouble, rather than good, positive supporters.
It might be the wrong conclusion, but that's the public image it has.

That's obviously because, as usual, you don't have a f**king clue, do you...?

You're lucky to get a 20 second version these days.
I'd rather shag a bucket with a big hole in it,than be a M*rt*n fan for just one minute.
