Live on Sky?

The club will be raking it in this season now.

They'll make about £400k from the League Cup Final plus the £100k from Sjy for this plus the gate money. That'll be about £600k not budgeted for..........

They wont get 100k from Sky - RFC will get most of it!

The fee for a televised game is about £184k if I remember correctly. £92k to each team.

The gate receipts are also split down the middle after removal of costs for stewarding and policing.

Would think the gate prices should get a gate of around 25,000. If there are 20,000 paying adults at £15 a head that will generate £300k of which I'd imagine Saints would get around a third when all told.

Hence I'd guesstimate the replay as being worth not a kick in the arse of £200k in total.

Not bad at all 200k...should see us bring in one or two pro youth players in on loan this summer.

Nicked from the official Rangers site:

KIDS GO FREE to SCOTTISH CUP CLASH!

SCOTTISH CUP 5TH ROUND REPLAY

Rangers v St Mirren, Wed 17 Feb, Ibrox Stadium, kick-off 7.45pm

Rangers and St Mirren today launched a scheme to enable adult fans to
bring the kids along for free to their forthcoming Scottish Cup replay at
Ibrox on Wed 17 Feb.
The price of adult tickets has also been slashed to just £15 for adults,
and £5 for OAP's and 16-18 year olds, with Rangers season ticket holders
and Bondholders also receiving a further £2 discount, which is being
subsidised by Rangers, bringing prices down to just £13 and £3.

Commenting on the scheme, Martin Bain, Chief Executive at Rangers said:
"We are fully aware this is an expensive time for our fans as we are
competing in all three domestic competitions. There are a number of
important SPL and cup games coming up - including the League Cup final -
and our fans have a big role to play so we wanted to ensure the replay was
affordable to all as a thank you for their support of the team.
"Giving our young fans free tickets will help create a fun, family
occasion for supporters of all ages and I know Walter Smith, the
management team and players appreciate the tremendous backing they receive
at Ibrox and on our travels. On behalf of everyone at Rangers Football
Club, I would like to thank our fans for their continued and loyal support
as we approach this crucial stage of the 2009/10 campaign."
Tickets will go on sale to Bondholders tomorrow only, and season ticket
holders wishing to purchase their own seat can do so tomorrow until
Thursday this week. Juvenile season ticket holder smartcards will be
automatically activated to allow them free entry.
Kids who are not season ticket holders can also take in the game for free
with a full paying adult (max of 4 children). A limited number of tickets
will go on public sale tomorrow, with more being released on Friday.
Rangers would like to thank St Mirren for agreeing to the ticket prices.

SALES DATES
Bondholders - TOMORROW only
Season ticket holders^ - TOMORROW until Thurs 11 Feb
A limited number of public sale tickets will go on sale tomorrow, and more
areas will be released on Friday.

That will almost cover the running costs of Ralston.

600k a year?! If that's true then Ralston is one of the biggest mistakes in the club's history and will probably sink us!

Im also with you on this one mucka (Sorry DavidG) but wheres the reports and actual figures on what we are spenind on Ralston......

You guys have got me seriously worries..... 600k by f**k that is one or 2 maybe even 5 major signings per season.... And goes back to what I said (and had shoot down attempts) about our youthh getting let go freely on the fact that we take old firm boys on loan......

If were spending anywhere near 600k per season on youth and then letting them go and not even getting 600k back on one of the devleopements from that set up then surely we should be f**king shut down before anyone gets shot 1st...........

Surely this isnt the case - Hopefully it aint or as the man says above WE ARE FECKED COME 2 YEARS DOWN THE ROAD

Don't be utterly ridiculous. If Ralston cost St.Mirren £50k a month to run then the club would be bankrupt in no time

Why do people believe everything they read on the internet

I don't know if this is good news in terms of actually reaching the next round.
I'd rather be taking them on in a low key affair,at a ghost town style Ibrox,in front of the few season ticket holders who could be arsed paying in.
I was looking to recreate the conditions that saw St Johnstone knock them out of the League Cup a few years ago.

Hopefully very few **** will turn up, but will allow more Saints fans to make it along.

Means me, my dad an my nephew can go for a total of £20.

And we can use the savings to pay for the cleaning bills to get the odour of the blue scum out of our clothes after attending that shithole.
Keep the WB B&W

Why have discounts just for the replay? What was wrong with that pricing policy for the first game?
I'd rather shag a bucket with a big hole in it,than be a M*rt*n fan for just one minute.

My guess is that we would have been against reducing the pricing structure.

We were guaranteed around 2500 old firm fans at £20. If we reduced the price for everyone (even to £15 and £5) we would have had to attract probably another 2000 home fans to make the same sort of money. And given the game was on tv we were never going to attract that many more.

Greenhill Road only holds 8000 and the H*ns only got 2,500 or so tickets. You could end up with guys wanting to buy tickets for the R*ngers end who can't get in because of the freebies for kids. So not fair on the away fans and the clubs might end up with lower gate receipts than if they'd charged full price.

This move for the replay could actually increase the total gate receipts for the match. There's much more chance of doing that in a stadium with loads of spare capacity than in an 8000 seater stadium where you're guaranteed a crowd of around 5000 without touching the prices.

The pub for me I'm afraid. Even if it will be full of ****. Hit a pothole coming back from the semi. Burst tire and a broken suspension. Didnt have a car for the first game and wont have the money for the replay. :(
