The biggest problem wi Div and his STATS is that he's completely failed to tell us how many goals Saints have scored wearing what strips...

I suppose with the free-scoring Buddies this would be too big a task to contemplate....

Nothing to do with this.

Gus is very superstitious and wanted to try something different, something that may bring them a bit of good luck.

They had planned to wear the home kit at the Hamilton game the other week and changed their mind.
Only trouble is they can only request to use the away kit 4 times at home in the season.

Please tell me you're kidding on. Please tell me he has more up his sleeve to try and win a game than by hoping a different coloured kit might bring us a bit of luck. It isn't a bit of luck we need anyway - it's an ability to score one more than the opposition we need, and that's got feck all to do with the colour of strip we're wearing.

No joke bud.
Nothing to do with wearing the away kit so many times or trying to sell strips.

If that's true it's a disgrace, though you could be on the wind-up  . Other teams try to score goals...we try to change colours....

Who cares, both strips are rancid..................

It's the inclusion of the rather camp gold that's to blame for everthing (well that and little useless).................

Get the 3rd colour back to red or bin it altogether..................................

Man City, Engerland and many Greaseball clubs are moving back to old school kit styling, let's hope we do soon............

Get stripes on the back of the shirt and

BRING BACK RED NUMBERS.............

I couldn't agree more. What has happened to the red? An Italian team have a strip that looks more like a Mirren strip than ours. .

I completely disagree. I think we have been very unlucky at times this season. Our recent performances have in the main been very positive in my opinion.

Of course a bit more composure in front of goal would have helped as well, but there is no denying that we've not had many breaks lately.

We've not been unlucky the amount of times we have failed to win from leading positions, nor the amount of late goals we concede, nor the fact that the last time a St Mirren midfielder scored a league goal was back on the 5th December 2009. Nor are our forwards goalscoring stats caused by us being an unlucky team, and our apparent inability to beat Accies or St Johnstone isn't down to bad luck either. Stuff like McCulloch's quick equaliser at Ibrox was unlucky - took one hell of a deflection, and a few of our injuries have been unlucky. Over the piece though, too many times we've simply not been good enough and bad luck has had precious little to do with it.

Billyg is half right. There are indeed jerseys being emroidered with the cup final details but these are a brand new set.
As to why the stripes have not been worn at home I have no idea.

Hope this helps :)

Based on what I've seen Carey is in the Franco Miranda bracket (in relation to position) - is he a left back, left midfield, wing-back ... from what I saw against Motherwell he's an 'attacking left back'. From our recognised midfielders, the last one to score a league goal was O'Donnell, in the 85th minute at Tannadice in a 3-2 defeat on Dec 5th 2009. If Graham Carey is classed as one of our midfield 'roster' then my apologies. I would still say however that Murray, Dorman, O'Donnell, Robb, Brady, Thompson..... would be nice if one or all of them could chip in with the odd goal in 2010.

Agree that our 3rd colour should be red, but red numbers on top of black and white stripes looked cheap and nasty in the eighties and it looks cheap and nasty now.

Regarding the superstition thing it's probably not uncommon. Think there was a thread on here at the start of the season about Dargo changing from his number 17 to 18 and apparently that's because he thought a change of number would change his fortunes. Maybe that's why Robb & Brighton swapped too. Would also explain the lack of a number 13.

No harm in that, perhaps we could get campbell dressed up in an orange robe, squatting at the tunnel at Hampden. Gus and the team can all rub his belly on the way onto the pitch. :P

health and safety would never alow it, also the players would be fecked by the time they got around him

Stripes with red numbers is a real proper Saints strip.

And in the early 80's it was worn by Legends.
