Apologies if I've missed another thread. Mods feel free to move or delete if I have.

Thoughts? My first thought is fine, but let's see how the 'Rangers newco' vote goes.

I got the Motherwell Prices in yesterday

http://www.motherwel...-tickets/prices

My immediate thought - St Mirren score in terms of offering a free Under 12's ticket with every adult one, but Motherwell score with much cheaper prices for 13-16 year olds. Six of one, half dozen of the other. Both teams are still far, far too expensive IMO.

Well you can't buy the season ticket with the free kids ticket online which isn't particularly helpful !

Very sensible decision to get more youngsters through the doors. But not much on an incentive to get early ticket sales. The discount this year is £15 for paying early not enough for me to go any buy it now compared to last year.

Last year it was a £55 saving for the early birds
Then it dropped to a £30 saving for the not so early

Some fantastic initiatives in there. The club are certainly going out their way to encourage youngsters through the gates well done. The free top is a fantastic idea too, high impact PR. again well done.

However, I won't be buying my ticket until I know the club's (and league in general) position regarding Rangers. If they take the wrong stance and throw sporting integrity out the window, all the PR in the world will be in vein, I will not put one more penny into the SPL.

Don't spoil your good work SMFC.

Does it really matter how the league vote with regards a newco.
We go to support our team because of who they are not who they play. I will buy my ticket regardless of who we play next year.

Lets face it with the penalties that are currently being imposed on the current Rankers club I hardly think that a newco will have an easier ride of it. If they do get admitted then they are likely to have similar restrictions imposed on them.

A very good deal indeed! Well done all responsible.

As has been said though, I'm not buying until I hear how the R*ngers votes goes. If St Mirren play any role in them entering the SPL as a newco or with limited sanctions, I'll not be visiting St Mirren Park again.

Don't use words too big for the subject. Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite.

Disappointed by the price to be honest 45 pound increase on what i paid last year thats almost 20% up.When money is increasingly tight and the situation with the league i will have to think whether to buy or not. On the up side free kids ST looks good for some.
It's not life and death it's more important than that.

Have to say I am as well. Was going to get my Season Ticket back this year having settled and got a job in Edinburgh but at £295 even missing 3 games (potentially mid-weeks due to work) then it is not really worth it apart from to get the same seat.

100% increase for disabled people shoking. these people are getting there budgets slashed left right and centre and now they are charging £50 fot th4e carer to sit next to them when they are mearly there to provide suport a shoking decision by the board. every other team do free carer and some even free entry for disabled and carer like rangers and dundee utd. so not well done st mirren.

Short answer is, yes, it does matter. Look at the "Insolvency Transfer Event & The SPL" thread if your interested n my reasoning.

I agree. They are putting the prices up far too much in other areas in order to give tickets and strips away to kids.

The kids get enough free stuff. Get the parents to buy them it themselves. Other areas like the disabled, concessions and students shouldn't have to pay for it.

When I was a student 5 years ago my ticket cost £200. The current price is fantastic. It's worth pointing out that when I was a student, and most of my friends likewise, I had more disposable income than I do now. As for the disabled ticket, yes we should be helping these individual's but I think the price if pretty fair. What other leisure pursuit would provide 38 hours of entertainment for that price? Break it down to the price per game and tell me it's rediculous.

it my be ridiculous but why should a 12 year old get a free ticket yet a disabled person who may have same age capacity has to pay 100% more than they have ever paid as carers have never paid to accompany disbaled fans to games. and like i say ive been to ibrox and tannadice and both disabled person and carer get in for free.

I can accept the £45 increase - in recent seasons we have frozen the prices, or had good early bird discounts. That couldn't go on, prices were inevitably going to go up, and everything the club does - energy bills, fuel, you name it - bills need paid, and we want to see a better team on the park.

The big thing for me is the vote on any newco Rangers. I can take the price increase, but that is a whole different ball game. I'm simply not up for dropping my drawers to take Rangers dick up my nether regions and be expected to smile and cough up my hard-earned when it happens.
