As I said on P&B - we need to show the Rangers apologist press that we will not die without Rangers - and that means getting out to games, creating atmosphere, and getting cash into our clubs coffers. I'm looking at it from a bums on seats POV, and a freshness POV. Games against Ross County and Dundee will be different.
A poor game in front of 3,000 is a poor game. A poor game in front of 6,000 can seem better because there's a bit of a buzz, and a better atmosphere. I hope that our clubs sit down very soon and formulate a co-ordinated plan to get bums on seats and basically to get it right up the gloom merchants and Rangers apologist media knobjockeys.

I Think Dunferlmine will actually have an even weaker team than Dundee if they are allowed to be reinstated to the spl, given that they are signing players to do a job in the 1st division.

With the history of Dundee(double administration) it's ironic that they might get a crack at the SPL at Sevcos expense. And Dungvermine are just shite. It's a no win situation for me.

Well Yorkstone was on about how no precedent has been set so why don't the 11 SPL clubs just vote in who they want? I would go for either Morton or Plastics. It is unfair that the Dung escape relegation as they were relegated before TRFC went tits up and are pish anyway plus Dundee were not good enough to win the league although I feel they have stronger grounds in going up than the Dung. Nope, let the SPL invite who they want.
Those are the clubs I would have chosen also

Agree with this, both will have First Division squads with maybe a couple of additions of the Paddy Cregg variety - clear favourites to finish bottom.
As I've said elsewhere it's a poisoned chalice unless there gonna be some sort of league reconstruction, I suspect whoever loses out might be relieved.
................and as always fuck the Newco!

I fully appreciate the calls for Dundee as they would, IMO, bring more to the league than Dunfermline, I just dont think Dundee should benefit after their years of cheating.

Dungvermine have dodgy financial practises of their own that are now coming home to roost. I'm amazed they have survived this long.There is something that sticks in my throat about the possiblity of Dundee gaining from Rangers demise, for me i would rather Dunfermline were brought back in.

And what about the sporting integrity of the league? That`s no different from just voting in a newco.
Should be Dunfermline really, that is usually what happens in these situations, although a two leg playoff would be a good idea and would give both clubs a decent bit of cash to make last minute additions to their squad. The situation isn`t entirely fair for either club as they can`t properly prepare for the new season yet.

No matter who comes up, in previous seasons I would suggest that only Celtic, Rangers, and Hearts were certainties not to be embroiled in any sort of relegation fight. Aberdeen and Hibs have proved that being a big club with past glories is no guarantee that you won't be pish - so one team out of nine was going down. With Dundee/Dunfermline replacing Rangers, that goes up to one out of ten.... which in itself, makes it interesting.
Really looking forward to the new season now. Can't say it's been a dull close season!
Only if whatever one becomes Club12 is strong enough to hang onto the pack - I reckon it might end up as another Gretna season with relegation decided long before the end of the season.
*****************
As a general point I'd have to disagree with you as regards to relegation from the SPL - although quite a few teams have flirted with relegation and on occasion had to rely on off-field matters to save them 8* of the 12 teams who made up the original SPL have been ever presents.
* - Soon to be 7.
