Apparently the polls on their forums suggest that 95% of their fans think that they should rightly start in division 3 and will follow them there.
That wouldn't be possible in the lower divisions though . There is no means of segregation at most of these grounds and the clubs certainly don't have the finances to upgrade their stadia in the next month . Policing charges , previously very small ,would go through the roof and bear in mind that in most cases the grounds have very small capacities anyway. I think it's fair to say that TRFC will lose a lot of their supporters to other clubs if they have to start in the 3rd and that can only be a good thing in the long term !

More than half the schools in Renfrewshire will have weans pestering their parents to take them to see their local SPL team.
Lets encourage them.
Good thread Kendo.

I wid be delighted if St Mirren was full of ex bigots supporting us.

Good thread Kendo.
It is a serious thread, we all know local Rangers fans who are not happy at supporting this sevco mob.
We need to encourage them to go and support the Buddies, they just need a wee push.
This is the way to close the sevco down. We can do it positively by promoting our club.
Too much effort is being spent on the sevco / newco. I say f*ckem come and see the Buddies.

Now that Rangers are out of the SPL and they have been liquidated I believe we should try and get the ex Paisley Rangers fans to follow their local team. This is the way forward for our team. We could double our support over night.
We need to be inovative going forward, there are lots of Gers fans looking for a new team.
Would there be - I don't reckon I'd follow another team if Saints went to the wall.

I don't reckon the logistical problems would be that great, by & large the OF travelling support isn't what is was 20 years ago, league deciders at Kilmarnock excepted

Kendo wanting to mix with Rangers fans. Now there's a suprise.
Next he'll be calling for us to change our colours to blue and white and turning up for games waving a union jack and signing no surrender....

Most Sevco fans I've spoken to won't be getting a season ticket next season (if they exist in one form or another). This whole "don't do walking away" is nonsense. They do and they are, so there's definitely a market for poaching these people from Rangers.
Correct, that is where we should be concentrating our efforts instead of boycotting out our team.

Walking away is one thing, changing allegiance is another - I can't see many wanting to go to more than the odd game. Maybe you're right and I suppose a sinner repenting might indeed become a saint.
One further thought, for a lot of people who supported them we're seen as a Tim team, obviously we're not, but that's the way a lot of them think.........................

Weirdly, I've also heard us being referred to as a "proddy" team, so maybe we're being considered by some bigoted idiots. One further thought, for a lot of people who supported them we're seen as a Tim team, obviously we're not, but that's the way a lot of them think.........................
I doubt many will support other Scottish teams though, especially as lots seem to hold the rest of Scottish football somehow at fault for their current predicament. Most of them will likely follow Chelsea or Man City.

Are you seriously suggesting someone who has followed that bigoted mob should pay less to follow MY club than me??Yes any way to increase the support can only be a good thing.Offering a discount if you are a proven Rangers Season Ticket holder would be a start.I know a few people who said they would take in a few games at ours instead of paying to watch Green & Co profiting. They need to remember though we sit on seats.
