Can anyone who believes this to be the case explain how it will make his shares more valuable? A business which is about to fail is worthless, as it will be available to buy from the administrator for next to nothing, so why would anyone bid anything now, let alone make an increased offer.

I keep reading posters on here and social media sites telling me that SG is warning about / predicting administration for the club as a way of getting more money for his shares.

No way. Their shares are more likely to be worthless.

Who is saying he'd get more? I haven't seen that 2becks. Administration makes the shares worthless

There are several posts over a number of threads making this claim, there are several posters on my facebook, including a lengthy thread on the Real Zippy's page where this theory is expounded.Who is saying he'd get more? I haven't seen that 2becks. Administration makes the shares worthless

I think people are suggesting that he wants to do a U turn and vote Rangers back into SPL/First Div/SPL 2 to ensure that Sky/ESPN do not walk away thus keeping the club as a well run business therefore preserving his share price which was agreed with 10000hours prior to Rangers getting liquidized. People believe that he is coming out with this stuff about administration to justify any U turn that he may want to execute, not that he thinks his shares would be worth more if they went into administration.I keep reading posters on here and social media sites telling me that SG is warning about / predicting administration for the club as a way of getting more money for his shares.

Interesting theory but I think http://www.saintmirr.../pages/?p=13628 kind of says that's not the case.

It depends on how truthful the scaremongering is, just as it depends how truthful the scaremongering about "foreign bids" were........what we do know is there are dependencies from 10000 Hours and Bii in relation to saving the OF and the SKY money. .......pretty much the situation that KMG was pilloried for.
Source for this?
Don't use words too big for the subject. Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite.

AKA Knicker wettingDon't reckon anyone has said his shares will become more valuable. More likely is that he has went into meltdown because the money he and the consortium thought they were getting is fast disappearing.

It's a shame for the consortium crew as they could almost smell that money.

ktf....it was in the presentation made at the last public meeting. Div also posted a link to it in the board that used to be known as 10000 Hours. The Bii funding is conditional on the SKY money and the situation with scumgers.Source for this?
REA has been speaking to the press again:

limbo = the shitter.......time to move on, regroup and look at a genuine fan led effort to support the club with a view to increasing fan involvement organically rather than by proxy with scumgers dependencies attached.
RICHARD Atkinson admits his takeover plans for St Mirren are still in limbo following the decision by SFL clubs to exile Rangers to the Third Division.
His 10000Hours Group looked set to clinch a £1.5million deal for the Paisley club at the end of last month but uncertainty caused by the Rangers newco saga forced a delay.
Both Atkinson, right, and Saints chairman Stewart Gilmour – who is heading up a consortium selling a controlling stake in the club – decided to wait until SPL backers, such as Sky television, announced whether they will continue to plough cash into the Scottish game.
Now there are fears of a financial meltdown for the Scottish game after lower leagues clubs voted against plans to demote Rangers just one rung to the First Division.
And Atkinson admits that, for the foreseeable future, he can’t complete his historic deal that will hand control of Saints to its supporters.
Story continues

He said: “We would still like to have the fans in ownership of the club as soon as possible but, while a vote has been taken on where to place Rangers in the SFL, that is not the same thing as working out the impact on the financial revenues of the SPL, which are still unknown but potentially very significant.”
In the meantime, Atkinson is hoping Buddies will sign up to support the Nero Blanco fighting fund which has been created in a bid to stem potential £1.1m losses which could follow if the top flight’s sponsorship deals are torn up.
He added: “We still firmly believe in the fan-ownership model and believe that St Mirren’s supporters, given the chance, will step up to assist with any financial difficulties that come our way.”

you asked a question about why people reacted one way to SG's comments from yesterdays papers not todays statement. I'm glad its not the case but I can understand why people thought he was trying to look after his investment.Interesting theory but I think http://www.saintmirr.../pages/?p=13628 kind of says that's not the case.

The difference in communication between the statement made yesterday and the scaremongering we have seen over the last couple of weeks is stark. If SG had stuck to minimal, factual statements about what the SPL / SFA were doing and said absolutely f"k all in relation to the SFL he would be lauded as a hero. Instead he chose to try and argue the toss for scumgers to get into the 1st division. The big question is why - and in my humble opinion it had everything to do with Bii and their £500K loan "dependencies".you asked a question about why people reacted one way to SG's comments from yesterdays papers not todays statement.
