In all honesty, I do reckon an injury free Morton have an outside shout of the 1st this season, if they sign a good striker and keep hold of Tidser. Certainly the centre back pairing of Rutkiewicz and McLaughlin won't ship many goals at that level, but scoring may be your problem. David Graham isn't prolific above 2nd division level and McDonald has been crocked a lot.
I hope Morton do come up in all honesty. Renfrewshire derby in the top league is something I've never seen and it would be fun. In fact, the last time Morton were even competitive in the same league as us I was only 15 years old. Middle of the road clubs in Scotland have peaks and troughs of success. Morton are due one, clubs of similar size have had their peaks and troughs in the last 20 years, Morton haven't.

Of course it's me, I certainly didn't send a Saint Mirren shirt out to The Great Sasuke in the hope he'd pose for me...that'd just be f**king silly. :-)
Oh...forgot, I also ran wrestling shows in the town and still don't care about Morton either way really. You brought some Danes over in the 80's and aside from Andy Ritchie that's about as much as I remember about your team. Hell, I've even gone to Morton games as a neutral and cheered them on...well, applauded occasionally...to a promotion clinching win over Dumbarton.

Good luck to you and Morton. Always had a soft spot for them although I admit it's easier to feel that way because we usually stuff you. It would be great if we could get derby matches going again but you'll need to get promotion for we will never be relegated again. (Says he crossing his fingers!)
