TsuMirren Posted May 7, 2013 Report Posted May 7, 2013 Where are the changing rooms located? I didn't get a chance to use the 5 a side pitches, assuming they're at the back of the away stand. I may have to hide in goals for this, running has been a bit foreign to me lately. Quote
Guest somner9 Posted May 7, 2013 Report Posted May 7, 2013 We now have 14 accepted and in for the first game, all those players should have got an email from toepoke. I will try and organise a set of bibs for tomorrow. The teams are; Alan Cassidy Charlie Kelly David Macdonald Ian Craig Mark Russell Robert Smith Stuart Cameron versus Bill Mccartney Ewen Maccoll Kenny Morrison Nicky Fleming Paul Mullan Sean Rooney Stuart Mcintosh I will text everyone to make sure everyone knows they are playing ! Anyone else who wants to join the game can still do so and will join the reserve bench. Based on the size of the dome I reckon having a couple of subs each team every week might not be a bad idea to be honest but we will see how we go. And still Dougie Imrie is denied even a bench warming role! Quote

div Posted May 8, 2013 Author Report Posted May 8, 2013 Thanks fella I think I have found an even better way of managing the players which includes a mobile app so I might move us on to that next week. We have enough players registered for the game tonight fella, but you are on the reserve list and I have your mobile details etc.. Quote
div Posted May 8, 2013 Author Report Posted May 8, 2013 David Wilson is a late replacement for Stuart McIntosh who has unfortunately had to withdraw from this weeks game. Quote
Mr Zo Posted May 8, 2013 Report Posted May 8, 2013 Delighted with my late call up and hope that after a good working week I can bring my average football skills to the table. 2 games in 18 months should make for an interesting experience. Quote
Mr Zo Posted May 8, 2013 Report Posted May 8, 2013 Most enjoyable experience but christ its like an oven in the Dome. Will be sure to bring a bottle of water next week. Quote
DannysRevolution Posted May 8, 2013 Report Posted May 8, 2013 Knackered and it was boiling in the dome!! Enjoyable and a really good game, look forward to next week now! Quote
Liason909 Posted May 8, 2013 Report Posted May 8, 2013 (edited) It was indeed, good game lads. For those who did not attend it was 7-0 (maybe more?) to the non-bibs in the first game and then 5-2 (I think, again maybe a couple more either way) to the bibs in the second game. Evened out in the second game after everyone was knackered in the St Mirren Pressure Cooker. Either way, it's a game a piece.or 9-5 on aggregate Edited May 8, 2013 by Liason909 Quote
LoveStreetLover Posted May 8, 2013 Report Posted May 8, 2013 Really enjoyed that! Some quality goals and saves on display and no one took it too seriously. Absolutely deed tho, ill need to work on my fitness for the next one! Quote
irvine_buddie Posted May 8, 2013 Report Posted May 8, 2013 Good game, think it showed how unfit everyone was in the last 10 mins! As a non-bib ill call it an aggregate win of 10-5 for the non-bibs! Quote
pozbaird Posted May 8, 2013 Report Posted May 8, 2013 Well done to all participants! Hope the old legs don't ache too much tomorrow. Quote
LoveStreetLover Posted May 8, 2013 Report Posted May 8, 2013 We need to come with some better rules for when the ball gets trapped at the side of the goals/in the corner, quite a few cheeky non-bib goals scored that way ;) Quote

Why don't we play it properly? If it's past the goal it's either a goal kick or a corner? Quote

Liason909 Posted May 8, 2013 Report Posted May 8, 2013 Well if you want to play it on what helps teams score four or more goals, we have to ban Div. Quote

BIG BEN Posted May 8, 2013 Report Posted May 8, 2013 (edited) Will be interesting to see how the legs are tomorrow. 1st game in 2 and a half years. My finishing was deplorable. Thoroughly enjoyed it tho Sent from my C6603 using Black & White Army mobile app Edited May 8, 2013 by BIG BEN Quote
TsuMirren Posted May 8, 2013 Report Posted May 8, 2013 Excellent game, not a single serious comment the entire night and all played in the right spirit. It is boiling in there though, I was sweating through my top even before I got out the goal for my trademark passenger role. Quote
Bill Bud Posted May 9, 2013 Report Posted May 9, 2013 Really enjoyed that, just what I needed gents. I think if we take a couple of minutes just to tidy the edges up before the game that will do us. Put any boxes and smaller goals behind the main goals as much as we can. Legs will be feeling it tomorrow!! Quote
