Fitzy87
Heard at the game on Saturday, that they are putting a big screen between the Main Stand and the Away Stand, almost Highbury like. Apparently this will cost £160,000 at no cost to the club... Who could be paying for this? Good move or not?
Isle Of Bute Saint
Sounds good to me fills in one of the corners. Sounds like some kind of sponsorship. Will it help the refs with replays and goal line playback ?

Big Yards
I assume it will be part of the sponsorship/takeover (delete as appropriate) deal by JD Sports to promote all their range at the JD Sports Stadium. It's a deal with UWS
thepaisleypanda
It's a deal with UWS Ah - I get it! A big outdoor lecture theatre? will be chilly in November though!!
sm74
It's worth £30,000, UWS are paying £28,000 of it with MANA covering the rest. Will be used for media students etc to do film features like the players playing golf during the week and stuff like that. Also the possibility to put another one at the other side between the South and West at a later date.
thepaisleypanda
What would UWS get out of it that's worth £28k? I'm sure they have decent A/V facilities in-house?

I remember watching a Theo Paphitis revisits Millwall documentary where they were reminiscing about the success of putting a screen in the corner. They were saying that it was such a boost in profits ( close to +£1 million) by having a screen there and using it for advertisers. You could even make it a beer garden for supporters to watch away matches..... although there is probably some legal barriers stopping us from doing this. Follow the bouncing ball and singing lessons for the Northbank.Sounds good to me. Could we have a wee stage just under it for Superfan to dance on? At half time a series of letters will appear which correspond with matches listed in the programme there by cornering the market if you want to know all the half time scores..... Thank goodness not everyone has access to a radio , and all games kick off at three on a Saturday otherwise it might be feckin useless.
