So Farewell Then....jim Storrie

When Tommy Bryceland signed Jim in summer '72 he looked to be a great acquisition , his experience, with Ally McLeod and Jim Blair playing off him and with Bobby McKean and Ian Munro out wide , not forgetting Billy Johnston and Gordon McQueen at the back , we couldn't fail to win promotion. Early signs were good , a win at Ibrox a narrow defeat at high flying Ayr and some high scoring wins in the league. Then the wheels came off , inconsistency yet again with defeats at Stenny and Stirling and by the end of the season , Blair , McLeod , Storrie and McQueen were gone.

RIP Jim , and thanks for the brief good memories especially when you captained the team the night we wore our "Ajax" strip for the first time happy.png
