Lord Pityme
What is the world coming to when a hard working, overweight, hardworking, honest, hardworking, non-funny, hardworking, racist can't even assault a work colleague without losing his job? http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-32052736 This! http://youtu.be/k8wdGgpdjvQ Edited March 25, 2015 by Lord Pityme
nedflanders123
FA guy gets sacked for gross misconduct and now other stations will compete to sign him. What message does that send out? If I was sacked for punching a colleague then I doubt any prospective employee would hire me with that on a reference. The guy is an arse and thinks he is above the law. Nothing to do with talent but bullying and assault.

If I was sacked for punching a colleague then I doubt any prospective employee would hire me with that on a reference. The guy is an arse and thinks he is above the law. Nothing to do with talent but bullying and assault. Firstly, he didn't get sacked for gross misconduct. He is not having his contract renewed, huge difference. He will inevitably get more work if he wants it because the reference he needs to show prospective new employers is the viewing figures his show had and they will see pound sins flashing before their eyes. That's how business works, if you can make more money for your company than you cost to employ then you're worth having and if you can make a lot more than other people can then so much the better. They said Andy Gray and Richard Keys would walk straight into another UK telly job! Add to that Big Ron Atkinson, Jim Davidson etc... In fact Michael Barrymore who has never been found guilty of anything cant get a gig on the telly. Having been proven to be a racist thug towards work colleagues, and varying nationalities will make it nigh on impossible for him to get anything like the work he had. The mass media/entertainment business don't take risks with their money or reputation. The BBC's stance proves that as they could easily have caved in to the clamour to save the racist thug, and continue to sell the programme with him in it. They decided not to, and if anyone was going to give him another chance it would have been the Beeb. There will be a new style Top Gear, with new presenters (female and representative of ethnic minorities) and very much like when Sir Terry Wogan gave up the breakfast show someone else will come in and make it even bigger. I don't think there is a shred of evidence that he was sacked for being a racist thug. You were the guy who posted a bloody great list of Clarkson's crimes but you continually harp on about his racist attitude. In my view, and I've thought this would happen from Day 1, he was sacked for lifting his hand and behaving like a prat. You simply seem obsessed with his 'racist' misdemeanours that he was warned about before. I still don't like the guy although I admired his work. I don't believe for a minute his career is anywhere near over. We shall see.

Either that or you are blind! Happy to have brought all his previous to anyone's attention, there will be work for him of course, i expect to see him being interviews by Ant & Dec later this year in the Aussie jungle in ''I'm A fat-arsed racist celebrity, get me out if here you lazy Geordie cunts or I'll smash your faces in" or perhaps a special racially intolerant edition of "Big Brother" with Big Ron, Carol Thatcher and Nigel Farage".... Aye somebody will pay him hoping he drops himself in it again.
faraway saint
It seems being overweight is also to be considered when there is a fracas............................ I'm surprised him having curly hair isn't a jailing offence.

Stuart Dickson
Fair play to the BBC. According to reports today Top Gear brings in £42.5m per annum in worldwide sales and merchandising and today they've just lost their three most popular presenters from the show. I can't see the format being anywhere near as interesting or amusing with Chris Evans and Jodie Kidd fronting it but the Beeb can't be that bothered otherwise they wouldn't have just handed ITV their biggest TV hit since Downtown Abbey. Trust me he wont get a gig like Top Gear on ITV or Sky. They don't employ racists, or thugs. Ask Andy Gray, or Big Ron.
Guest TPAFKATS
Incident occurred, celebrity suspended by employers while investigation undertaken, then he leaves their employment. Not sure why folk are still defending him? Partridge for top gear!
saint in exile
The Beeb needs to take a long hard look at itself in this whole sorry saga. They've let the buffoon away with a helluva lot during his time at Top Gear - even encouraged it, in fact, as they could easily have edited much of the allegedly racist stuff out (e.g. the 'slope' comment) because the show is recorded. That they chose not to is a sad indictment of where their priorities lie.

Get rid of Jezza but quite happy to give airtime to a well known anti-semitic so called comedian who also thinks it`s acceptable to crack distasteful jokes about disabilities (among many other things). http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/tv/news/frankie-boyle-to-host-bold-and-outrageous-bbc-general-election-special-election-autopsy-10127030.html & lets not forget , the Beeb also thought it was ok to have foul mouthed convicted drug addict Russel Brand as an anchor on Red Nose day ........ great example to the kids of today !
