Crowd Funded Corporate Hospitality - Season 2015-2016

Recommended Posts

Just fleshing out an idea I have had to see if there is any initial interest.

I’ve been thinking of an idea for next season where B&W Army would “crowd fund” a full table at hospitality next season for every game.

Say we buy a table of 12 and we have 18 home games. That would give us 216 "places" over the season (12 x18)

Thinking would be to then have 108 "shares" in the fund, each share being worth two seats at hospitality.

We would (hopefully) be able to negotiate a good price with the club based on the fact that we would be buying a table for every single league game, and that most of us would be season ticket holders.

So the total cost would be split by 108 to determine the "share price". Punters on the site could buy as many "shares" as they like. Once we have 108 sold we would be full.

We would then ballot those 108 randomly over the 18 home games, 6 per game, and those 6 people would then have two seats at the table for that match so they could bring a mate, the wife or whoever, making sure they would "know" someone at the table.

Hopefully that makes sense !

Idea really is to help the club with regular income from hospitality, whilst encouraging fans to socialise at hospitality, and hopefully reduce the cost.

I've asked the club to price up a table at every league game anyway, just to explore the actual costs but let me know what you think, or if you think its' a ridiculous idea !

I would deal with all the admin and payments and stuff.

Is there any chance you could request we keep w5. Open at home games. I have a season ticket but folk get out off going to ganes with non season ticket holder families due to non sitting next to one another. Surely makes sense to keep it open for non allocated seating. Sick of trying of stewards saying we can't use it

Div, if your name came out the hat for 'Game X' and you couldn't make it to that game, what would happen?

I think it would be up to you to try and swap it with someone who could go. Idea would be if we managed to get all the "shares" sold then we would allocate all the places up front so everyone would know well in advance which game(s) they had been allocated. We could set up a section of the forum to allow people to "swap".

There are going to be games that are deemed "better" than others like Morton for example but think we would just need to make it luck of the draw otherwise the administration would be horrendous.

Unless someone can think of a better way of doing it ?

I will ask the club about that mate. I think it seems sensible but there will probably be a cost reason why it isn't done. I will ask !

Yes mate, I think to be fair we would need to have a way of trading places (no Eddie Murphy puns intended).

Just want to make it as easy as possible for me to administer as I don't really have the time to be chasing round people, it would need to be up to the individual to swap their place if they couldn't make it. Same goes for postponements, or TV re-arrangements, it would all be part of the luck of the draw.

Cost issue at most would be another steward to sit at front of w5. If. It encourages 2 more folk to a fane it will pay for itself.

I know for a fact. Folk are put off going to games because they can't sit next to season ticket holders. Make w5. An un allocated seating. Section.
