Stuart Dickson
Interesting news coming out of UEFA this afternoon suggests that UEFA may be about to terminate BT Sports exclusive rights contract to show Champions League matches live. This comes after the revelation that on Wednesday evening fewer than 200,000 viewers tuned in to the free to air coverage being offered by BT Sport on their Showcase channel. This compares to viewing figures of 4.4 million that Champions League football regularly pulled in when being shown on ITV.
Doakes
I like BT Sport, but Michael Owen is enough to make me consider watching something else.

Champions League doesn't restart until next week so if they got 200,000 folk tuning in to watch it on Wednesday fair play to them!

That'll be because BT don't show any British teams on the free to air channel. I doubt UEFA are really that worried while they count the massive amount of cash that was paid. Frank McGarvey' wonky legs
Could this be pressure from sponsors who probably pay through the nose for this seeing diminishing returns? Although fecked if I would know where to buy any Gazprom products in this country.
