Chic Charnley away to Dunfermline, one of the cups.

Chico beats a couple of defenders & then the keeper at the edge of the box, he rolls the ball towards goal. Turning towards us, arms aloft in celebration, Chico, seeing the looks of disbelief on our faces (as the ball deflects off an enormous divot about 6 yards from the goal line and trundles out for a goal kick) turns back towards the goal and cannot understand why the ball is resting against one of the advertising hoardings & not in the back of the net.

I cant remember the final score, it was a draw & went to penalties, we lost. During the penalties Chic became the only player that I have ever heard of to be booked during a penalty shoot out.

Now that's entertainment.

The Valencia keeper got booked against Bayern in the Champions League penalty shootout for timewasting ( the guy with the weird eyes and bleached hair)

How can you get booked for timewasting in a shootout? It's not like the referee's going to blow for time-up while Ronaldo's running up, is it?

before the penalty was took he would walk up to the player taking the penalty and stare at the player . He also kept the ball and didnt give it to the player that was taking the penalty :blink:

Chic got booked after scoring his penalty against Andy Rhodes, whilst straddling the recumbant (swallowed me dictionary!) goalie on the line to retreive the ball from the back of the net and telling him to gettitrightupyeh.
