Fantastic result. Should have buried them in first half. Second half we lost just about every 50:50, but still created enough to finish them off. We sat too deep, perhaps forced back a bit by Dundee. Strain got the run around at the back but was immense coming forward. More pluses and minuses and we cannot complain about full points from first two games. Optimistic we will be very competitive this season and threaten a top six place again

Fantastic result bur, for gawd's sake Saints, think about my old ticker. We absolutely battered Dundee in the first half. Snapping at their players as soon as we lost possession, slick passing and put their defence under pressure. Then they bring on Tiffoney and it changes the match. Suddenly we're standing off them and not winning the all important second ball. But. We're six from six and top of the league, Well done all.

End of season, nothing to play for to fare today. Cannot read too much into what we saw. Thought Taylor was really good first half, despite other posts thoughts. O Hara was very tidy. Urminsky was very disappointing. Good to see Tait back , looked up for it. Rangers went through the motions and had three proper shots all day, unfortunately our man is not up to the standards of Carson and needs to improve to be a realistic back up.
Overall a fantastic season though and we need to appreciate that as we may wait a long time to see a repeat, depending on who we lose and who we bring in next season. Hopefully Main will be staying and O Hara is not sold.

Goalie very poor. Tanser the worst player I have ever seen. The young  boys up front very poor. Fraser looks done. Three very poor goals given away today. On the positive side. Think Taylor might be  a player. Main again did quite well with no help. Club need to look at Strain. Very good player but seems to have fitness problems. Spend the close season finding out what his problem is because he is a very good player. Need to sign a goalie, a leftback, a centre forward or two.  Oh well see you next season .

    0-3 final score.
Disappointing, poor in defence was the real big difference.
Despite Rangers having plenty of possession they never troubled our goalie, probably just as well as he looks a wee bit shakey.
A good season, already looking forward to next season.

Great result. Given Hearts recent run l felt we had a good chance of a result, especially after last week’s performance, but a win was more than could be hoped for. Could not ask for more going into final two games before split

Our destiny is in our own hands now. No worry of a team needing to win by 3 us winning by 4 and a virgin being sacrificed at dawn to qualify. Good feeling!

Excellent first ten minutes then we huffed and puffed against a really poor team for rest of the game, albeit creating enough opportunities to bury them. Gallagher and Flynn were excellent. Main put in a shift. Could not believe BBC thinking Watt was man of match. We need to be more clinical up front. All said and done pleased that we put in a shift and won given the injuries we have. Top 6 still up for grabs, but it will be tough

That was a lot harder work than it should have been. We should have been out of site and cruising, early doors. But. A win's a win. Much needed and gets us ever closer to a nice comfortable end to the season.
Main did what we have come to expect of him. Can you imagine what he'd be worth if he added even a few more goals?
Football is a strange, subjective animal. I thought Watt was, at best, mediocre yesterday. I don't think young Offord did too badly given he hasn't featured much at all. It would have been expecting too much to see him at full throttle. In saying that, I would have preferred to see Jamieson on in his stead.
Given that they normally add up to one player in the team I thought Flynn and Kiltie did really well for the 90 odd minutes. A big well done to Gallagher. He's surely proving the "famous Aberdeen" supporters how wrong they were about him and I hope his injury is not serious.
As for the "tackle" on Carson at the end. That lad should be up in court for common assault. It was more akin to fight club than football. How it took VAR to decide was beyond me as we collectively "ouched" in real time.

3 special mentions. Main for working through the pain barrier. Strain for being the best player on the pitch - again. And Robinson's great substitution taking off Small who was being rinsed by the RC sub, moving Fraser over to deal with him and bringing Joe on.

Robinson's substitutions recently have all been excellent and helped us out. Something Goodwin never managed to do.

Agree with many comments. Felt like two points dropped though over the piece a draw was probably correct. Carson made at least four excellent saves, Particularly towards the end, but our endeavour throughout and the chances created when we broke forward made for a very entertaining game. Suspect the penalty was very borderline and as for the refereeing l thought it was appalling and failed to protect our players from a series of dangerous collisions.
Carson and Erhahon were excellent, but the whole team put in a great performance.
colleagues at work had said how poor Rangers are- they are not wrong. For all their possession they are insipid and lack the nous to break down a resolute defence and their own defence looks very shaky.
for all our away woes and only two points out of nine this week, 21 points at this stage of the season is not to be sniffed at.

Not often you leave a game against Rangers with a point feeling disappointed.
It's really good to be able to enjoy good performances at home.

Doesn't matter what the refs do now on the pitch, whoever is sitting in the var office seem to be the person deciding. It will take a lot of funny handshakes for the Tics to lose the league now.

Is there a team in this league who is less comfortable on the ball than us?
It was purely our effort and aggression that got us into a winning position tonight.
Whilst there were a few good individual performances for the Buddies tonight, our basic inability to keep possession is our biggest single weakness over the season so far, couple with our negative/defensive tactics.

TBH I'm not overly worried about Hearts, having watched them quite a few times this season they are, at best, reasonable, at worst, utter shite.
    Celtic, already pumped them.

Strange game overall. St Johnstone much more comfortable on the ball most of the night but created nothing. Couldn’t understand why it took so long to give the penalty. Two cracking goals from us, but overall we wasted the ball a lot with slack passes. Fakes offered nothing in second half yet grabbed an equaliser.
There is room from improvement but did not see us sitting with 20 points at this point in season. Are we getting too greedy?

Good win. Fought hard for it. Ayunga goal should never have been chalked off. As for a MOM that's the easiest decision we'll have all season. Curtis Main was outstanding for 90mins. His effort was incredible. And scored a brilliant header. Not an OG imo. On to Hibs next week. Tough game. Coys
