Eaglesham saint reacted to TediousTom in Jack Ross - SMTID?
Of all the events currently unfolding on the world stage, of all the life changing, life defining moments the world over I truly think
This is the least interesting of them all
Good luck Jack, you did a great job right up to and including your open letter to the fan's, absolute class. Our paths may well cross again one day, until that day I wish you and James all the very best. What an opportunity you have earned, our club and your career have both benefited enormously over the last 18 months. I say we are all much happier today for that.
All the best Jack and Jimmy, allthe best indeed

Eaglesham saint reacted to St.Ricky in St. Mirren v Dunfermline
This personal knocking of one poster on the forum by another is at best regrettable and at worst downright damaging to encouraging participation on the forum. I know that raising this won't help my popularity rating but this smart ass stuff is boring in both content and predictability and I don't think that I am alone in feeling this way. I don't expect others to share my views or interests nor to share theirs on all occasions but I hope that they can express them without being ridiculed. After all...we do all support St Mirren, don't we. Back to football. Looking forward to getting along to see the game tomorrow.

Eaglesham saint reacted to East Lothian Saint in St Mirren v Brechin Sat 24th Feb
HA! HA! I think jack must be a regular reader of the forum. Two big points.
He had a good chat with the players after the game and he thinks they will benefit from that.
The vast majority of supporters are with the club and understand we have no divine right to win football matches
So there you haveit. Stick with the team and do your bit to get us over the line starting on Friday night when we go to a tough venue as LEAGUE LEADERS.
Trust in Jack he has got us this far.

11 points clear going into March yet some are still whining and hand-wringing. Short memories, FFS
You couldn't make it up.

We have lost 1 league game in the last 10. You admitted it yourself that we are, like all teams, going through a sticky patch. We have no right to expect to win all games of football and you have supported the team long enough to know this. We are top of the league, won the game and got back on track results wise. Next season will take care of itself if we are promoted. Jack will likely read the riot act with certain players who are not performing. Trust the man who has got this team from bottom of the league to the top and well in front.

You mentioned it because you love the sound of your own voice and are obsessed with your own self importance! Tit. -

I feel I need to apologise on behalf of Buddie in EK. if he had an issue with what you posted then he should have only adressed the points you made.
What he did do, it seems to me, was to show his frustration and react to the incessant and purile pish-tsunami that you unleash on the forum on a near minute-by-minute basis. He tried to put your posting behaviour down to attention-seeking. that was wrong and I don't know how he could do that without professional assistance. In fact I don't think anyone, even a fully qualified team of psycho-analysts, could adequately explain the pish-stream of limited consciousness nonsense that you generate. You must feel very aggrieved.
I hope you can see how i stood up for you there. No need for thanks.

Eaglesham saint reacted to Isle Of Bute Saint in Lewis Morgan
Oh God surly not who are these people who bring shame to the club. If they post on twitter they obviously post on BAWA this sort of thing really starts to make me feel ashamed wish these mindless idiots could be identified and banned from the club they are not St Mirren supporters.

Eaglesham saint reacted to Drew in Lewis Morgan
I see Lewis' mammy is talking about chucking Twitter on account of people seemingly having a dig about his recent performances.
Yes, his form has dipped, but it just goes to show how important he is to our team. I'm sure things will pick up for him again, and he will be key to how the season plays out, depending on how long he stays.
Having a go at the lad via his mother's Twitter account is piss poor.

Eaglesham saint reacted to djchapsticks in Harry Davis
Baird has definitely been a shining star for me this season and the main consistency in terms of availability and performance through our back 4. Nightmare at Cappielow excepted.
We've suffered badly from struggling to have a settled back line for a variety of reasons. Hopefully this is now behind us and the guys that in were there today are our strongest when all are available in my opinion. Perhaps a case can be made for Gary Mac instead of Baird but Baird is in such good form right now, you can't really shift him out.

Eaglesham saint reacted to Drew in Harry Davis
Interesting Billy, given how critical you have been of Jack.
For me, Baird is already a big player for us. He earned that tag on his own merit.

Eaglesham saint reacted to billyg in Harry Davis
Wasn't there today but I see it mentioned that Baird was outstanding. Not surprising with the organisational Davis beside him. Baird will become a big player for us if Davis stays fit .

Aye, but they're all big weans in their 40's or 50's.
-
Eaglesham saint reacted to Drew in W7 Fans & Banners
This is a daft and disproportionate step by the club, presumably intended to put a point across to the authorities that they are on top of things.
I fully expect the BoD to relent and the ban to be lifted by the New Year.
The banner was a wee bit naughty, and the folks involved now know the score, so common sense should prevail all round.

Gordon Scott has his faults, but he's been excellent for the club so far. In my humble opinion. I'm glad he appointed Jack Ross and gave him the financial backing to avoid relegation. I think I'll forgive him for making a couple of decisions I don't agree with. Alternatively, I could throw my toys out of the pram.

Eaglesham saint reacted to Dibbles old paperboy in W7 Fans & Banners
In an age where drunken Rangers fans with alcohol problems narrowly avoid jail for posting threats about the Hibs manager on facebook [see this week's news], it is just possible that our board could have been advised that grown men holding up banners calling people from a named town "scum" could get the club fined or the individuals concerned arrested / thrown out the ground / charged with offensive behaviour and been a bit OTT in their response in trying to protect the banner makers /holders or the club from legal problems.
The meltdown accusing the club of not caring about our fans, calling for boycotts, accusing the board of wanting to kill the atmosphere, colour and attendances at our own home games is entertaining to watch if nothing else.

The Facebook page is an embarrassment and some dafties are doing the singing group no favours whatsoever with their attitude. -

Gies peace Shull ,after the way the SFA treated us with colts teams.
If it’s the same next season. Colts team for me

Bring back Reserve Football.
Let the young yins play regularly with the seasoned Professionals.
Not too much, in case the gel haired jessies with their technicoloured boots get fecking fatigued.
-
Eaglesham saint reacted to shull in Take Note, Jack Ross and James Fowler
They knew how to beat Raith Rovers.
But they refused to implement the correct strategy.
The fans travelled from all over.
Paid good money.
Hoping for a win.
Ross and Fowler shafted us.
Did they not notice how many turned up at Fir Park last Season which included a great Display from Josh and the boys. A brilliant support.
And they rip the pish out the fans this Season.

Eaglesham saint reacted to Soctty in Dundee United V St Mirren
Would think Eckersley probably pushing forward as we were behind, but haven't seen the highlights yet. I did say Samson made several saves to keep us in it, but the loss of first goal was crucial. I've no issue with Samson this season - done far more good than bad. -
