  1. I think the problem is SMISA are just a few folk on a committee. The majority of members have no interest on being on that committee never mind the board. They joined to save the club not necessarily run it. Don't have a clue on percentages but if you use this forum as a source it appears many of them can't even be arsed voting on the ยฃ2 spend. I'm Just saying, maybe the kibble might actually be interested in doing some work that most SMISA members wouldn't be arsed about. If as you suggest SMISA are inept and in league with the enemy. Why not limit the damage they can do buy diluting their responsibility and getting assistance from BIG BOYS who know what they are doing and will be more arsed about getting involved than most SMISA members.
  2. FFS Judging by those against Gordon Scott, He will only be forgiven if he gifts his 300k worth of shares, the ยฃ300k he stood to lose because allegedly, according to reports on here, he was shafted by the last board and Btb which most of his critics signed up for was the only way to recoup his cash. Did you not all sign up to pay him back???? Whilst saving the club. Then there is TF who by his own admission got shafted by Livingston and lost his company in the last business deal he thought was a good idea. On past deals we have two directors already who don't have very good track records. So GS and TF have come up with another idea. Have they learned from past experience and really carried out the due diligence on this one. The SMISA Committee Think so. So if SMISA committee follow in the footsteps of GS and TF and we get shafted again it would just prove how inept St Mirren as an entity are. Do we have any business acumen at our disposal at all? Maybe The kibble could provide that. Just from the stuff I have read on here and other social Media sites Btb is chasing a dream of fan ownership without any idea of how it could work. Even Colin at the meeting said we still thought we had another 5 Years to work it out. What kind of plan is that. If we had 71% of the club guys like LPM and Dicko would probably have influence over Veto's and decisions while Cockles and Brazil would go to war with them. Starti would through the toys out the pram, POD would crack a joke and EK bud would resign. No disrespect guys.nothing personal substitute any Fans name you want. Maybe the Kibble will bring some much needed leadership to the table as well as some business acumen. Just a thought.
  3. As yet I am undecided. Earlier in this thread I voiced my concerns over the veto. That still concerns me. HOWEVER I signed up for btb to save the club but was never sure how it was going to work. There is still no proposal for the end game if we get 71% of the club and that's daunting. "How we going to work it. I don't know" to paraphrase a well known song. The idea of some of the people on this forum getting any control over the club and everyone else fighting over their choice is mind boggling. The positive is in this deal, we get a hand and have a structure for the future that could work well, Someone who has been in business for 140 years and will prove useful. They will save money on some ongoing initiatives and generate cash in the future. They have certain values and if we are to maintain the high ground and claim to be a family rum club then shunning gambling, drinking or unethical sponsors shouldn't be an issue. Installing a plastic pitch would be though so I get the danger. Its a risk but at least we have more clarity on the future. Do we have the expertise to do this ourselves, Not sure. Can we trust kibble to deliver on their statement. "It's in our interest for ST Mirren to do well on the park." I'd like to think we can but I'm not sure. It's a tough Decision.
  4. I'm in ma room mate. I try to avoid the panners and the belters. In fact back in the day I would never have trusted anyone from the Kibble. Most of the ones I heard of were inmates, to be fair, and not directors. Anyway I've just invested 1 hour 20 mins watching the vid. It was very much a one sided presentation promoting the idea but Kibble came across very well. It does diminish some of my concerns and it all sounds tickety boo. At the moment I'm probably swayed towards voting for it BUT I'll still ask questions. I find sometimes its best to Assume nothing, believe no one and check everything. It doesn't mean I'm paranoid. Take care Fordy and how do you know who the good dealers in the Pans and Tranent are?????? Just asking
  5. Never said we're doomed but the possibility exists we could be. Have you read the proposal. That's a scenario that could transpire What safeguards can you assure me have been but in place to prevent it. I can assure you my knickers are quite dry. You were very vocal about things before the meeting so I don't get your point. I Couldn't get to the meeting and the video isn't out but the vote happens soon so I thought I'd ask a question. I was always told if something sounds too good to be true it usually is. You Ford seem like a dreamer. Give me your phone number so I can cold call you, promise you the earth and empty your bank account.
  6. Dickson and LPM actually raise a few concerns that worry me. I haven't seen the video and I wasn't at the meeting but in everything I have read I don't see any safeguards being offered for St Mirren Values only what this gives to Kibble. Make no bones about it Kibble will gain a big say in how the club is run. As a minority share holder they will have a big 50% veto should they chose to use it. If Kibble are entering this with the right intentions i,e support St Mirren, then that shouldn't be an issue. If their intention is to USE St Mirren we could be in Deep Do. Do. Simple things like the St Mirren Colours are up for grabs here. Never mind control of the board. Its a bit far fetched but what if kibble affiliated people took out 1301 SMISA memberships and controlled SMISA votes. They could just take the club off us. I don't know if this is a good or a bad deal but lets not rush into it without getting appropriate answers and safeguards.
  7. Interim phase The following will apply during the interim phase: - the current SMFC board will remain in place, with Gordon Scott as chair. SMISA and Kibble will each have two places on the SMFC board. - a number of matters will require the mutual approval of all three major shareholders (SMISA, Kibble, Gordon). These will include: appointments or removals of a director of the club the sale of the stadium, changes to the clubโ€™s name, colour or badge, changing the clubโ€™s grass pitch to astroturf, and the appointment of major sponsors; any major borrowings, major contracts outwith the normal course of business, and approval of the clubโ€™s business plan; any major structural changes to St Mirren as a company, such as any reorganisation of its share capital, or changes to the clubโ€™s articles of association. - Kibble will provide support services to SMFC and assist the club to grow it operations and community reach. Kibble will have access to SMFC facilities to provide training, employment and recreational activities for Kibble young people. - all concerned will work together on a smooth transition to majority fan ownership; Majority fan-owned phase Once SMISA owns the majority stake in SMFC, the following will apply: - The matters defined above as requiring mutual shareholder approval will continue to do so (applying to SMISA and Kibble only); - The SMFC board will be responsible for the operation of the club. Football decisions will be made by the clubโ€™s football department; - SMISA will be able to appoint the majority of the SMFC board. Appointments will be made on the basis of the skills and expertise required by the club. New appointments will be selected by the SMISA committee after an interview process and put to the members for approval; - Kibble will be able to appoint at least two members of the club board. Kibbleโ€™s role will continue to be as outlined above; - SMISA will ensure the views and priorities of its members are known to the SMFC board and staff. The SMFC board will be expected to consider those views but will ultimately be required to make decisions they believe are in SMFCโ€™s best interests, as will be their legal responsibility. - SMFC may choose to refer other matters to SMISA for the members to vote on โ€“ but this will be at the SMFC boardโ€™s discretion. - SMISA and Kibble will be able to make representations should they feel the SMFC board is not acting in the best interests of the club. - The SMISA committee and board/management of Kibble will be able to scrutinise SMFCโ€™s operation, but will be bound by any requirement for legal, commercial, employee or other confidentiality as it applies to SMFC; - SMISA affairs will be run as at present โ€“ the SMISA committee will run SMISA affairs. Members will elect the committee and have the chance to vote on how SMISA funds are spent. - if SMISA or Kibble wish to sell any or all their shares in SMFC, the other will have first refusal Effectively this is what kibble get
  8. Couldn't make the meeting but that ^^^^^^^^^^^^^ GS said in a recent interview there would be no short term cash benefits for the club but hopefully in the future there would be extra money for the team on the park. Did anyone give any specifics or is this just because they feel Kibble are better commercial operators than SMFC AND SMISA and would use OUR assets better than we could. It is clearly stated on SMISA website, for all to see, that if the partnership doesn't work (not saying it won't) and SMISA dissolve (Not saying they will) the way is paved for a future St Kibble with no fan ownership. (Not saying its the plan) If it goes through hopefully kibble and there business people, with all there expertise, will generate millions create hunners of jobs and produce a world beating team and we'll all live happily ever after. Doesn't really sound like the St Mirren way (just saying) Looking forward to the video release of the meeting. Not sure how I'm voting yet.
  9. I'll admit my name is on the wall but even I wonder what the plan is. Irrespective of the pros and cons of working with Kibble what this proposal does is create a scenario where Kibble could buy the Club. Smisa Website says that if this goes ahead then during the interim period either GS, the Kibble or SMISA can veto any of the following. After the deal is complete and Kibble only own 27.5% then either SMISA or Kibble can veto any of the above. Kibble still have a veto. If SMISA find themselves in trouble and have to sell shares then Kibble get first option on buying. Not sure how it would evolve but theoretically Kibble could end up with 71% of the shares if SMISA dissolves. https://www.smisa.net/buythebuds/kibble-vote Outlines this. If Tedious Tom is right and SMISA don't know their arse from their elbow this deal could actually be the beginning of the end for Fan ownership. Has TT uncovered a great conspiracy?
  10. Not feeling too great about this one and I fear the worst BUT The guard on the train fancies St Mirren for three points. Maybe he knows a lot more about football than me. The train does pass through Carstairs though. Madness but I'll See you all there.
  11. Cracking day out. They have a good wee set up and looked after us well. Recommend a wee day out at the juniors for anyone who hasn't tried it. Managed to pick up a St Mirren Mug from their memorabilia shack too. The St Mirren Supporters man of the match was Dwayne Hyslop Talbot Number 8 Back to the big boys fitba on Saturday though. I do love away days at Tynie.
  12. Nae big boys fitba the day, so a squad of us heading through to Auchinleck Talbot v Clydebank. Corporate for ยฃ25. Should be fun.
  13. Come on Doug. Where's that Dunkirk spirit. It's backs to the wall and Goody is our Captain mannering organising our last line of defense. Actually you might have a point. I'll stick to Alcoholic spirit. There, I feel more Optimistic already
  14. Phoned up this morning to get 4 tickets. They only had restricted view left. That wasn't a problem but I'm sure the lady said they hadn't sold that many tickets which made me wonder. 'How many unrestricted tickets did we get if we haven't sold many but we're sold out.' I fear the worst but we live in hope. Maybe Saints will win, Obika will score and the green brigade won't bring any political or offensive banners. Taken that too far but the first two aren't impossible See you all there.
  15. Went for an impromptu pint last night which resulted in a fuzzy head this morn. Got to station to find Fecking train from NB cancelled. Scrambled a lift to Edinburgh and now on train to Glasgow. Killie here I come. Had two visions in the haze. One obviously involves a hair of the dog but the other was Magennis will score. It just popped into my head. See you all there Buds. Enjoy my premonition. Now about that other vision. Wheres that hair of the dog
  16. Congrats Doug A memorable occasion let's hope it's memorable for us too. It's pishing down here hope it dries up for your big day. Here's three points. SUPER SATURDAY 1. Big Wedding (Doug Scores) 2. Bexit sorted or thwarted (Boris or Corbyn Score) 3. Fakes doomed to relegation (Obika and Morias score) Have a pushed it too far with point 3. ? Aw well, it's coat on and off for the train. Everyone have a great day. See you all there. COYS
  17. Just common sense really๐Ÿ˜‚ ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ It is evident Fixes 2,4 & 6 are not being put into practise. Loved Fix 3. Score. Some good constructive criticisms. Valid points. Be careful, if GLS reads this you could be the new manager.
  18. I watched Motherwell yesterday, never mind Alloa. Motherwell were much better on the break and made much better use of space than we did, Add a sublime goal into the mix and we were struggling. Their second goal wasn't brilliant but at least Morias had found a lot of space on the wing. Shame our defense was giving it away instead of moving the ball forward. Any chances we had yesterday were scrappy there's not a enough movement and fluid play to produce many chances. Your analysis that we play too deep is spot on and when we get the ball we don't break fast enough to create decent chances. My team against the fakes would be a winning one. Over to you Goody
  19. The only thing irritating me is a St Mirren team that can't score.
  20. Thanks Ged. I'm Happy again......Goody Goody gies a wave. I do love the Goatee.....
  21. Cheers LPM After Goody raising my spirits. You send me back into depression. Goody sounds great on TV and with that Black and white Goatee he's a Bud Through and through. We got to Believe..........or pray....or something. I know we could score..........Miracles. we need a miracle......
