This summer our club has been a total mess in relation to dealing with the people who count most the fans. A joke to be honest. You can send out all the # messages you want but if you can’t do the basics .

It was basically a "feck you" to the fans, and indeed the manager who spoke out on the issue this week. Not good enough, perhaps some of our SMISA board reps could speak out on this issue?

It really was a weak statement basically, leave us alone, we’re not being accountable for anything.

Unusual opening statement, not fan orientated at all.

I tell you what, I'd be knocking every f**king door, fighting every 'no' and chasing every lead to make sure as many supporters as possible who have already shelled out hard earned money for season tickets were getting in.
I wouldn't be sitting on my hands going 'maybe on August 9th it will be better' like that piss-weak opening gambit of a statement from our new chairman.

I dont quite know where to start with this.
Advocating for increased crowds at a football ground in Paisley, at similar levels as other football grounds in Motherwell and Dundee, is not in any way arguing for "letting the bodies pile high".
The arguments for removing restrictions are put perfectly by dj chapsticks. As for your point about different workplaces needing different assessments, are you really claiming our ground is only as safe as Darvels?
Unfortunately, you have fallen into the trap many of the left have - start insulting those with a different viewpoint, while not noticing the potential stripping back of rights which governments are using this crisis to do.
Vaccine passports, increased government powers meaning they dont need to meet their legal responsibilities in particular towards vulnerable people, aye its all fine because we can now trust these people and if we dont covid will get us? The biggest threat to us now isnt from covid.

Everyone is different Bud.  I for one hated last season, sitting in front of the gogglebox watching 2nd rate coverage didn’t do it for me.
Football is more than a game, pre & post match and banter with my family buds at the game is just as important . no amount of live feeds n whatsapp chat can replace that ……. Even in Winter !,
if you win the ballot , I’ll happily take your place 😀

It has got to be along the lines of once you've been successful in the ballot, you go to the back of the queue.
If there are 3000+ STHs again this season then, I have to say though, the prospect of paying £300 to potentially only gain entry to 3 or 4 matches is really unattractive.

Cannae believe we’re all shitin it from Livi. A team we’ve beaten twice already this season are being made out to be Real Madrid. Is this what it’s come to?

Don't worry folks. New amendments are getting put through to bolster all the hate crime laws and give everybody the chance to be offended.
Your right to be offended will be increased to include ageism so all this talk  on this thread of things like being being born in 1942 or even claiming someone is young enough to be a student cannot be reposted in any way that could cause upset.  The normal requirement to prove guilty intent is not required to obtain a prosecution under hate laws.  If any one calls you a codger, crumbly, whippersnapper or millennial you can play the ageism card and get them wheeched off to jail whether they meant to insult you or not.
Unfortunately I am still unprotected if some calls me baldy and folk from Greenock can still be described as smelly but freedom of speech is definitely getting restricted to stop people insulting anyone whether they meant it or not.
Absolutely splendid news, the new  Hate Crime and Public Order (Scotland) bill also repeals Blasphemy so we just blame God for everything now. Brilliant, Anne Budge can now just accept it's  God fault Hearts are going down and stop blaming us.

Alnwick was man of the match. Erwin did better than I expected, good holding up and decent distribution 👍🏻

Only one team trying to win that in the second half and it was us.
Thoroughly deserved a point and really could have had all 3.
The team battles right to the final whistle which is why we are getting so many late goals.
100% effort again today and that was very enjoyable to watch.
Don't feel like we are going to lose any games at the moment regardless of the opposition.
Can't recall the last time we lost and deserved to have lost.
When was the last time we could say that about a Saints team?
BTW, thought Brophy looked very lively and will be a great addition.

Contrary to boo-boy belief Erwin has been heavily isolated, against 3 physical defenders with not much service at all.
Decent effort and good ball through to Connolly in the first half.
Would like to see us firstly push up the park a bit more and also Erwin and Brophy up together for 30 mins.

    And this is the point.
Even if games were free online, people would still go to the live games in their thousands because there is no experience like it. It is an utterly unique selling point. It's like going to a concert. Sure it's great on Youtube but nothing can replicate the feel of actually being there. It's the reason so many of us went to the two major Cup finals even though both were free to air.
Those running our game don't seem to have grasped what the unique selling point of their business is. It's not the football. It's the live experience. And from pre-match entertainment, through to food quality and half-time stuff, they are sorely neglecting it.

I've enjoyed being able to see Saints more this season due to the ppv option but would much rather be able to go to the game even though it means less games seen/attended.

Draper committed two bad fouls on Ethan in the first twenty minutes, he also went in late and the referee waved play on, and commented a couple of other fouls, so it was only a matter of time before he was booked for persistent fouling. I think he thought he could bully Ethan all over the pitch and maybe win the midfield battle. Ethan went down anticipating another wild tackle and the ref booked draper for persistent fouling. Draper then behaved like a fud and got booked again.

I feel for Morais... I truly do.
Nothing has really gone his way.
If the ball hit Obika on the backside it would end up in the net.

If the ball hit Morais on the backside he would get sent off for handball!

He did some great work today and gave their defence a torrid time... but yes.. at times his decision making was poor and his final ball was wasted more often than not.

YET... someone criticised us for not shooting from outside the box... Something Morais did twice, bringing out decent saves from their keeper.

He continues to perplex, but I refuse to slate him as he gives his all every time.

Not enough has been made of Alnwick's two fantastic saves early doors. If county had scored that early, then we might have had a much more difficult afternoon.
Have watched the saves several times, and they just look better and better every time.
Must be vying for the best 'keeper in the league.

It's a ridiculous schedule so I see it more as a rotation policy by Goodwin rather than him giving players a chance to impress.

Not getting the criticism of Morais. Yes his decision making is poor but he beat their full back umpteen times today and forced their keeper into a couple of saves. He also doesn't hide and is always looking for the ball. If he was a finisher as well he probably wouldn't be playing at our level.

As a squad we are doing fine right now. Let's hope this transfer window doesn't upset what is a pretty harmonious apple cart.
