  1. Best of luck to the new gaffer. Hope he’s nothing but successful for us. COYS
  2. Yeh, probably right on that one. Wouldn’t be pretty but still think he could just about bore his way to survival.
  3. Not the long term solution but I’d be confident of Premiership survival with Gus in the dugout til the end of the season.
  4. The poor souls. I’m not pointing the finger at all of the players but certain ones clearly weren’t interested in playing for Stubbs and their performances reflected this.
  5. Same thing. The fans make/are the club.
  6. I’m sorry but there’s no excuse for not giving 100% out on the pitch and that’s what we’ve been getting. It doesn’t matter who the manager is, what the tactics are, who’s playing centre half, what one of your team mates have been dropped, who’s face doesn’t fit. No excuse for the level of commitment given so far this season. Saturday was much better from certain individuals and I suspect some players were already made aware of the intent to sack Stubbs. Just hope they approve of the replacement or we’re really f**ked. In fact, might be an idea to let them hand pick the new manager.
  7. Probably the best decision for the club as the players clearly weren’t prepared to work for him. Another example of player power and won’t be the last. Maybe some of these players should follow him out the door if they’re not willing to give 100% for the fans regardless of who’s in the dugout.
  8. I'd still be surprised if we sacked him after 4 league games.
  9. If McIntyre comes in it's important that we give him a chance and don't expect immediate results. We need to be patient. He started at County after the early season sacking of Derek Adams, taking charge on 9th September. He then went on to win only 2 out of his first 19 games in charge and managed to avoid relegation finishing 9th. Hopefully he can make a more immediate impact but change doesn't happen overnight.
  10. Motherwell shipped 51 players out in the same 3 year period, St Johnstone 43, Hamilton 45, Aberdeen 57. Killie are being run by Billy Bowie, not bank rolled by Billy Bowie and they have a strict wage cap in place. Danny Lennon didn't lead us to 7th, it was 8th which was fantastic. McIntyre had a much smaller budget than you are making out, here is the average wage in the Premiership in 2016. Celtic £717,860 Rangers £316,888 Aberdeen £134,670 Hearts £86,890 Dundee £61,837 Inverness £53,345 Motherwell £49,335 Killie £48,950 Ross County £47,515 St Johnstone £47,206 Partick £42,671 Hamilton £42,606
  11. Utter nonsense again. This sort of turnaround is nothing unusual for a 3 year period (Killie shipped out 70 players in that 3 year period...) and to say they did this simply to stay afloat in the Premiership is way wide of the mark. He led them to a top 6 finish and a national trophy.
  12. Nonsense as they were in 6th position at the end of December 2016 and in 5th position end of December 2015. This ill informed crap was put to bed in the summer, McGregor didn't bail McIntyre out midseason at all.
  13. In what way was he bailed out by McGregor? I'm sure this was discussed in the summer..
  14. If Stubbs is getting the bullet I'd be delighted with McIntyre. Out of the applicants in the summer he was my first choice and was surprised that so many on here and social media were dead against him getting the job.
  15. Classy, Stubbs still in the job at the moment FFS. Strange one from Stewart.
  16. I seem to remember having an endless supply of chocolate when I was a kid Panini stickers was another...
  17. Fantastic stadium. We were saying the same thing yesterday. All Scotland’s friendlies and games that would get 20k should be played there.
  18. We don’t know the ins and outs of the contract. We don’t know what sort of performance related clauses that could potentially trigger a parting of ways. We don’t know if there’s a probationary period involving maybe a reduced settlement fee. I don’t think we can criticise GLS too much without knowing what’s involved in the deal.
  19. And if the players decide they don’t like or think the next manager is shite?
  20. Chez McKenzie go fund page was first set up by “Martin Evans” to raise £50k to relieve Stubbs of his duties The same go fund me page is now aiming for £2k to “Cure my mum of cancer using alternative medicines.”
  21. Stubbs dealings in the transfer market could well be his downfall but the players need to have a long look at themselves, especially the guys who were here last season who seem to be in a bit of a huff.
