I was invited along by a member on saturday. First and foremost, I have to say the bar looks fantastic and the memorabilia area is great. Although someone could do with a spirit level for all the picture frames  The drink is reasonably priced and theres an ok selection available.
Sadly at £6 to get in, and to only get signed in by a member, I probably won't be back again in the near future. I don't have the disposable income to become a member. It would have been nice to watch other games before hand too as there was very little atmosphere in the place with no music or no games on.
It's a shame really. This could be a great venue for before and after games if it was open to anyone and the ticket prices were a little cheaper. But I'd rather go to a place where everyone can meet up and not require to be signed in and we can watch the footy and grab a bite of food before we go.

For the past 13 years we have awarded our Player of the Year trophy at the end of every season. It's an award completely voted for by the fans and it's always been very popular and we hope it's one that is coveted by the players.
Starting from this season we have decided to launch a Young Player of the Year award to go alongside this and we are this very proud to announce that this will be named in memory of Saints fan Tam McGarry who sadly passed away this summer.
The naming of the award seems fitting given that Tam's son Steven came up through the ranks of the St.Mirren Youth setup, with his crowning moment in the stripes coming in that quite unforgettable season of 99-00.
Tam was one of the biggest Saints fans you could ever hope to meet, and again this award will be voted for by the fans toward the end of the current campaign and every year after that going forward.
Speaking to Steven this morning about our idea he said, "I think that would be very nice and very fitting, and as a family would be very proud that he would have an award named after him so thanks. We also appreciate all the support from all the fans over the last few weeks we have been all taken aback with all the message pictures and stories."
So there you go, the Tam McGarry Young Player of the Year Award is here. Let's hope the young guns come up trumps and give us plenty of options this season!

Maybe we should just provide white t-shirts and black felt pens to players and fans alike then everyone can design and wear the strip of their choice? Seems a good idea to me.

I know he's been rubbish for a while but he's still my favourite ever Saints player.
Ex-English Premiership striker who joins the team he supports at the end of his career and ends up being the club top scorer for a few seasons and wins a national trophy scoring in the semi final and final. Amazing.

Mallan Watson Shankland Langfield. The rest is pot luck. Felt really guilty not giving Thommo any points. Also gave Goodwin some points over people who have played all season, which says a lot. I think the performances he gave in the few games he's played this season were still better than some of the others!

I recently got a new pair of astros so my old ones are going free (size 9). Still in alright nick, nothing wrong with them apart from they were a bit tight for me. Any of you are welcome to them if it will stop you's breaking your neck before your pay day. All I ask is not to be tombstoned, slide tackled, and moaned at... and maybe just maybe thrown a pass every so often so im not bored out my tits.

Fair play to Brian the set up was spot on tonight and the teams were also evenly balanced its not quite the dome but I enjoyed the games tonight.

does it really matter? An agreement was reached between The Club & the Fans Council & funding to pay for the fit out etc was agreed & a supporters club {albeit a private members club (at this time)} is being built.
Who is paying for it is no one elses business but The Club, the shareholders, the Fans Council & whoever has paid the £60 founder members fee.
As the opening of the bar draws closer, there will be more gnashing of teeth about it being members only blah blah blah. Everyone had the same opportunity to sign up to it but so many chose not to. It may not be the right model for sustainability and I am a firm believer, it will not be long before it becomes the 1877 Supporters Bar on a 1st come 1st served basis.
If you haven't signed up to it now, bide yer time, you will get in soon enough. Thank f**k there were 200 or so folk able to pay the £60 founders fee that has helped fund this build. Without that money, it doesn't look like this would have been done.

Ive booked TWO Five a side pitches at Powerleague (Pitz) & so far have got 16 positive replies. Should have no problem getting our 4 teams sorted.
7:30 - 8:30 @ Pitz , please be there at least 10 - 15 Minutes before so i can get money collected , teams & pitches sorted . £5 a head, please try to bring the correct money with you.
The pitches are more expensive than the dome but we will keep the cost the same & take the difference out of the kitty .
