Dirty Sanchez got a reaction from BigYardsAndBasher in Our Golden Era 1977-1987
My memory of that game was watching Saints fans climbing over the wall to get into the stadium.
Then, realising that the police were standing there waiting for them, climbing straight back out of the stadium again.

Woman next to David Curry on Sportscene currently "deffin-ette-ly" -ing her way through the show.

Can I just offend half the population by saying that "deffin-ette-ly" definitely gets on my tits?

The vintage picture above reminded me of Brian Hamilton. I hit Google Images to confirm, only to be confronted by this. I can only see two hands.

I've just come across this guy on Google; John Love.
Seemingly a Saints fan who emigrated to the States, and was subsequently killed in the war in Vietnam in 1969.
Pictured here at the Love Street end turnstiles in the late 1950s. That actual turnstile was only knocked down recently. You can still see it on Google Street View.
There's a page on John Love here:

Dirty Sanchez got a reaction from Scanlon's Left Peg in Paisley - My Pics Of Old Or Unusual Buildings Or Places Of Interest.
To put a date on it, my earliest memory of that map was watching Dundee United fans using it to find Love Street before the cup tie where Fitzy scored the winner and McAvennie fractured his skull, which would have been about March 1982.
In my defence, I can't remember any of the other maps mentioned, and my only memories of County Square are in colour, not black and white.

Who remembers when this shop front used to have blanked out purple windows?

If we're saying they guy who punched it in should have been off for a second yellow, then I'm sure the ref will find some way of getting him a card in second half. That's how it usually works.

Crazy last few minutes of the first half. See what happens when there's no VAR.

Meanwhile in a parallel pragmatic universe, they celebrate in front of the fans, then turn and head back to restart the game with no incident having occurred.

Dirty Sanchez reacted to djchapsticks in Goalscorer charged for assaulting police
What was the cop even doing trying to get involved there in the first place? There was nothing being done in terms of a crime.....guy scores goal, leaves field of play. A bookable offence, not a criminal one.
Any resulting fracas was purely of this police officer's doing.

We're due to play them a few days after the 2nd leg of the next round, if that helps us any, which is all I care about.

In the Club’s last preseason match before its historic Major League Soccer debut, Inter Miami CF earned a 0-1 victory over the Tampa Bay Rowdies at Al Lang Stadium on Saturday night in front of passionate traveling fans from the Club’s recognized supporters’ groups - The Siege, Southern Legion and Vice City 1896
I love the way they can contrive this stuff, right out of thin air. I remember when LA got its newest team they were mobilising the fans for their big rivalry with the existing LA Galaxy team. This is before the team had even kicked a ball.

Dirty Sanchez got a reaction from Hiram Abiff in St Mirren v Hearts Friday 21 Feb
Was trying to think how many games have been postponed at the new stadium. So I looked it up at http://www.stmirrenprogrammes.co.uk/
For the record, it turns out it's five in eleven years, plus one abandonment, mainly due to Derek Adams greeting at being 2-0 down and Willie Collum finding the one spot on the park where the ball wouldn't bounce.
09/10 Aberdeen - Ice/Snow
13/14 Ross County - Abandoned - rain
15/16 QoS - Rain
15/16 Raith - Late call off after heavy snow
16/17 Spartans - Undersoil heating chucked it
19/20 Hearts
Also, six away games postponed over the same period, at Hamilton, Hibs, Rangers, Dundee United, St Johnstone and Motherwell.

Dirty Sanchez got a reaction from W6er in Motherwell v St Mirren Scottish Cup Replay 18/2/20
I was in the Main Stand, and I noticed the away end looked busier at the end, when the crowd were more spread out (as above), than it did during the game when they were packed together.
. My view was that we had enough fans there to completely fill two sections of the stand. However two sections of that stand is 2 x (21 x 28) = 1176.
I've actually got a couple of pictures, but they are shite.
With there being cash gates you might need to also factor in that was par for the course for home teams to under-report cup crowds back in the day. Don't know if that is still a thing.
