  1. Where is Captain Optimist Elvis. Missing in action. Also not see Holly or Miss Saint posting these days?
  2. There are two scenarios, if survival is paramount then an old hand will be given the job until the end of the season or a one year deal at best. The other case is, notwithstanding the sale of the club, is to bring a dynamic young manager who will be asked to take the club forward over next 5 years including a complete rebuild if we go down. As much as the short term is a priority, I feel we need someone in who can do a medium to long term job in establishing us as a team that has resolved many of the long term shortcomings on the pitch. If we really want to remain a top flight club then compensation needs to be considered. However, I would rather have someone like Murray than Smith.
  3. I was there. What a night and what a player.
  4. The thing is, surely Goodwin and Teams are part of the coaching setup and, as part of TC's backroom team, are just as culpable as our clueless manager? They may have played no part in the farcical signings but if they were given the reins then I hold no confidence that much would change. If TC is to go then we should bring in a tried and tested man.
  5. Wouldn't go that far. Remember Celtic struggled to beat us last time, they are better than us but this is also nowhere near the Celtic of 5-10 years ago. We are unlikely to win and think we will lose 2 or 3 nil at worse.
  6. "TC " Not scoring a goal has been our problem all season" What about our shit defence Tommy? The man is a buffoon now citing Alan Pardew as an example of how we can improve. Perhaps if he gave us his first 11 players then we could turn it around.
  7. You need to have a meeting to decide that? TC should know this bearing in mind the crisis we are having. A draw tomorrow at best with the usual Christmas gift humping by Septics.
  8. Talking of Elvis where is our little ray of sunshine? Probably posting under a number of his aliases
  9. Personally, I think Dundee United are a better team. See no reason why we cannot win on the night as it is a cup game and pressure all on ICT as the home and form team. Who would have given us any odds of getting a result at Pittodrie after going 2 down or Accies beating Celtic at Darkhead? If games were all decided on current form then there would be no point in turning up. It will be tough and on form ICT should rightfully be considered favourites. Alas, the game is not played on paper or current form. It will be close with 1 goal winning it.
  10. Tired badly? What does that say about our player's fitness? We were shocking in the second half. All over the place with midfield almost non existent. Home team with 2 shots on target. Sorry TC, we were as poor as a number of previous games in that second half. I seldom pick on individual players but what exactly does Marwood and Reilly bring to our team? What does Craig see that we don't? Only positives are we did not lose the game and 3 players got some match time after being out injured. I hold no confidence that this team can pull out any positive result in the replay. However, this is St Mirren and anything can happen.
  11. TC on radio still going on about lack of goals when discussing ST's return. What about the other end Tommy?
  12. Thommo hasn't seriousky kicked a ball in months, won't be match fit and coming back from a serious injury at 36 years if age. Wtf is Craig expecting?
  13. If you are content with how things are then fine Shull. For many others there is genuine concern and labelling it as knickerwetting is unfair mate. If we did not care so much then there would probably be no senior football club in Paisley. There may be the odd case of going over the top and some personal attacks but in the main we all have the club at heart and share the concerns.
  14. The situation is that while we are not yet cut adrft with a measely 8 points, the main issue is where are the results going to come from? We are leaking goals, we cannot score and the performance of the team is worrying. Other than our first game against Motherwell (and we lost), we have been shocking on the pitch. Craig is not a manager and while his summer signings have largely failed spectacularly, some others appear to have downed tools or nowhere near the quality of last season. His tactics are as baffling as his post match statements. Optimism is fine but at this time I see no shoots of recovery and we are so one dimensional and insipid I would wager any senior football club in Scotland would fancy their chances against us. We may strengthen defensively when our key defenders come back but at this time if you cannot score and we cannot keep a clean sheet then it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know we will struggle all season.
  15. Capricorn which is why am an old crabbit goat
  16. I have the 7 seasons of History Channel's Universe on blu ray. Always been fascinated by astronomy.
  17. Cannot see an AGM with the Chairman absent. He has to be there.
  18. Again, Danny was not sacked. His contract was not renewed. I agree the Board did not handle the situation and only Danny emerged with any credit. Fans played no part in the decision but can do so now. Hiring Craig on a 2 year contract was madness.
  19. He wasn't hounded out. His contract ended and the Board decided not to renew his contract. He did not quit and he was not fired so his leaving was not a result of fan power.
  20. Interesting on BBC sport sound that while Billy Stark tried to defend TC re injuries Michael Stewart clearly stated what we have all been asking "why appoint TC who was DL's assistant? He also stated it was a strange appointment while referring to Tommy's statements about not scoring when the team lost 3 goals during Dundee Utd game (horrendous goals according to Stewart) and saying " surely you begin by sorting the defence out and making yourself hard to beat" "if you cannot defend and can't score then you have no chance". The guy talks sense imo.
  21. Wonder what the Board will think if attendance is as low as some think?
  22. Seriously Shull, TC a legend? Did you miss the space and meant a leg end? Tam as you call him is historically an unmitigated failure as a manager. The biggest concern for me is that yesterday's defeat was expected and when it happened I felt nothing other than sheer resignation and a deep feeling that there is no escape from this. If we do go down (and that is very likely) blame must be placed at the feet of the Board who are running our club and made the decision not just to appoint a failed manager but also to give him a 2 year contract FFS. They are culpable for that decision but also responsible for ensuring the club does whatever is required to secure our status. The silence is deafening. The board saved us, but how much more milage is left in that when all around us is crumbling and heading down south quicker than a whore's drawers?
