They will have business interruption insurance however I have noticed on the majority of the policies I deal with there is an exclusion in the event of a pandemic announced by the World Health Organisation therefore insurance companies are not going to pick this up for the vast majority of businesses.

I think he inherited a better squad than OK but has not yet showed that he is the man. Hopefully this comes and comes quickly as I see us hurtling towards the championship as things stand.

The bottom line is McInnes could learn how to walk on water and perhaps even make water into wine but our league is so f**king bent that they will still finish third. I don’t feel sorry for them though because they (Aberdeen) had the chance to fix the corruption of our voting system but opted for the status quo................so f**k them and their ex Morton manager [emoji41]

I read this thread 20 mins ago and I was going to reply then but alas I needed a poo.

Touching cloth I made my way to the bathroom, pondering our teams chances.  Sitting on the pan, defecation now in "full slip" I started to give this matter real thought.  With my sphincter loosened and the pleasant enlightment occuring my mind was cast over the strength and depth we have in each area of the squad.  With the pan now full I had already pondered my contentment in the goal keeping dept and I was through the full backs and centre halves also.  Wiping away I thought in detail about the midfield, the options, the dynamic (and how Sam Foley rhymes with big Toley).  All was going well until I stared into the defecate and paper filled pan, tugging lightly on the flush as I thought of the striking options and our apparent weakness in attack.
Backside suitably wiped, hands washed (of course, Im not from Greenock), pantaloons and trousers back in place I shuffled my way back to the PC to join this pleasant conversation.

Anyway, the squad appears decent but after a terrific result vs Aberdeen, the team have been as rotten as the smell  in my cludgie for the next 5 minutes.  Personally I hope to see a lot more of Danny Mullen.

As usual we are being dissapointed, it really is the norm!

It's not complicated, Jack Baird will need to learn basic passing skills to get a game. JG wants to play a fast counter attacking game. That would be difficult if every pass your centre back plays is directly back to the opposition.
Best of luck to Jack and hopefully he comes back a better player.

I thought you wanted more seats filled? That has been your whole argument.

    Bigot money over empty seats.

With the reported St Mirren support numbers at Sundays game, all our season ticket holders could be a accommodated in the main & family stands.

As a business plan, exploiting the rangers & celtic horde in this way improves the financial return even more.

It might be "a bit tight" but all our season ticket holders would be accommodated and the club has maximised revenue.

It is what your whole argument has been based on

Your taking the biscuit now Bazil - there were 700 fewer Saints Fans there against the Rangers than against Aberdeen, and as this saga trundles on the numbers will drop, not increase, when playing against the bigots. (Couldn't have put the Saints fans at the Aberdeen game in just the 2 stands by the way!)
The reality is that Family Season ticket holders with kids are being offered seats on the least occupied extremities of the main and west stands (M1 M2 M9 and W1 W2) and therefore right beside the friendly, church-going pillars of our society in the 2 ends.
If the board want to make a statement about our family friendly community club, then give all the moved South Stand fans seats in the centre of the main stand, and move all those without kids, including the board and hospitality to the extremities.
It beggars belief  we are still prepared to call the south stand the Family Stand -  should be the Simple Neanderthal Home of Scottish Sectarianism Give Us Your Money Stand?

less and less st mirren fans are attending these games, and the club is actually engineering that.

Not disagreeing,  just pointing out some facts that some people constantly ignore , I support St Mirren it is my club yes, but actually no it is only my club because I am a buddie born and bred and I support St Mirren, however GLS owns it, a fact a lot of people conveniently forget.  I think we should get rid of our pie supplier and bring in those who make KIlmarnocks......but that is just my thoughts on how someone else runs a business.  I was speaking of facts, not policy, his club, his decisions and to be fair his decisions on what policies to follow...............yes they may be folly but they are his to choose................at the moment.

I have gone to old firm games at SMP on and off over the years. The games last year really put me off though as there is really nowhere in the ground you can avoid them.
I chose not to renew my season ticket this year for a few reasons but top of the list was having to sit next to them when I was in the ‘St Mirren end’.
I might get a season ticket again when they stop getting the family stand.

We could always expand the ST situation so that all stands don’t include bigot games. Then offer the bigots all 8,029 seats and if any doesn’t sell, then offer it to Saints fans.

I've gone full circle and I'm now convinced the club is going to pull some mad deals out the bag. This is based on nothing except blind optimism and the fact that we've done some very good, very late, deals in the recent past.
I'm less optimistic that these will be in place for Hibs. I was considering getting the train up the coast for that game but I think it might be a bit bleak.

    So, things we know:
      - GM has a list of players.
      - JG has a list of players.
      - GM has first say on players.
      - JG has rejected some players.
Is it the case that GM is not going to entertain JG's list of players and similarly JG is not going to entertain GM's list of players?
Something's got to give and I don't imagine it will be GM.

I'm comparing like for like and we are no further forward in terms of playing staff than we were at the same stage in seasons without GM at the helm. Quite simply. He has added nothing as I write. It's the only thing I have to gauge his performance.
As for the last part. that's a bit unnecessary as I have stated categorically that I felt JG was the wrong appointment. Nothing so far has made me change that opinion. On the contrary. I am becoming ever more sure as the games progress.
I do hope I'm as wrong with this as I was with JR but the signs aren't good.

    What a strange analogy

So we shouldn’t judge anything part way through? At all?

No manager should ever be sacked until the season is over then?

Also, a sprinter that has a dreadful, slow start, generally doesn’t win the race
