Also got Brave New World but just havenae got round to reading it yet. Have to say, though, that I haven't been impressed with Ben Elton's stuff. I'd also recommend Brave New World. I first read it for Higher English, 23 years ago, and I've read 4/5 times since. I'm inclined to prefer 1984, but agree they certainly bear comparison.
