For all he's getting on a bit and slightly lacking in the physical side of the game DVZ is actually a very good technical player and the kids could learn a lot from him. Not least where it come to applying yourself in training

I'm sure Danny's plans include DVZ and rightly so.

Vanzie can still beat a man and still decent going forward

Right wing is probably the only position in the team that doesn't need strengthening. Teale has been a revelation there for the last year and a bit.

Who does Danny go out and sign? A right winger. Quelle surprise. Good luck to the kid though.

Is he though? I've seen reports that he's a right back, which we do need to strengthen. Maybe he's multi-faceted.

Why do we need to strengthen right back when we have Barron and DvZ? It might be nice to have the extra optiuon, but we are running a small squad here. You simply cannot have three right backs and one striker. It is preposterous.

Because the former is constantly injured and the later is playing as though it's a season too far at this level. Why Barron is still picking up a wage in what you rightly say is a small squad is baffling to me.

That's not the point though. We have two right backs. We have one striker, possbily a second by the end of today. It's quite clear where we need to strengthen most urgently. If Mair leaves, we will need another centre back too before we look at right back.

As for Barron, he's a decent player at this level. Not sure why it hasn't worked out for him under Lennon even when he has been fit.

Goodwin would get a game for half a dozen teams in midfield enforcer role, mcausland would struggle to get a game for any full time team in scotland, watch the highlights from last week, probably a nice lad but a complete abomination as a footballer

Yep this exactly. McAusland one asset is that he is reasonably quick when moving but his slow decision making negates that. If he wasn't in protective care at St Mirren he'd fall down the levels just like Sergei Baltacha before him
