Time For The Board To Think Out The Box

Recommended Posts

The next two games are crucial running up to our game against Hearts not just for Danny Lennon but for St Mirren Football Club and for everyone associated.

Out with the credibility or not of DL management of the team, we lack confidence and need a spur surely the board must do everything in its power to galvanise our support in the games coming up. The players need our backing and the board should not underestimate the power of Saints twelth man.

Some ideas below for the board to ponder whether they viewed as credible or not, please SG doing something is better than doin nothing, can't afford for the apathy to sink in.

1) A minimum free buses to Hibs game

2). A voucher for 2 tickets to aberdeen game for every saints fan attending Easter road simply give out at Easter road, I am a season ticket holder and I would hope most wouldn't grudge free tickets for fans who made the effort to support the team. Extra saints support against dons can only help galvanise support and team

3) season ticket holders bring a friend for Aberdeen game and cut price tickets

I'm sure there are many other ideas out there but please GONNA DO SOMETHING

Decent idea, in principle, but I'm afraid the way things are going at the moment the board would need to offer free travel, free entry, a cargo for both journeys, a couple of pints in the pub after and then a taxi home before I even contemplated going to Easter Road next weekend!!

Probably too late as the Aberdeen tickets have been on sale for a few weeks now but I can't remember such a poor atmosphere than the game yesterday. It was almost as we expected to get beaten.

Had to laugh when the Well fans started a loud Ssshhhhh then launched into a "what a shitey home support"

They were entertaining yesterday but spoiled it for themselves.I believe they were.held back in the Ground until the train at St James was due in.They were then escorted onto the train whether they wanted to be on it or not.

stop bending over to the corporate twats that like to use 50 year old champagne as bubble bath and enjoy walking about grassy hills in Pringle jumpers talking about the size of their Jaguars and Mercedes before going back to the "Club House" for a Beer and Sausage Party while sniffing the knickers of and making "Carry On" style jokes towards dumb blondes serving them more champagne and wine.

... Didn't know you were at the golf day at Paisley. You should have said hello!

If there is one thing I am comfortable with it's the fact our board is full of hard core St Mirren fans as such they will do whats right for the club

Aye, but that assumes that they actually still know what course of action is right for the club. To be brutally frank, I think they sometimes struggle to reach a conclusion as to what they should do (and who would blame them, as it seems there is little consensus in the broader support). That isn't to say that they don't want what is best for the club - I wouldn't doubt that for a second - but, unfortunately, that doesn't always easily translates into action and decision making.
