When I was in Babcocks there was about 2400 at that time. It's certainly a lot less now. Suppose the council will be the main employer? By far the main employers in the UK are small and medium sized companies. That is a healthy outcome because we really want to be avoiding the sort of massive culls you get when bastard companies decide to close down overnight resulting in thousands of job losses in one swoop.
