Mid Calder Saint
Has anyone any info on the speculation over interest in Jason from Rotherham?
TsuMirren
Nope, but going by other bids from down south it'll be for two sets of tracksuits and a burst ball.
Griff
Was an article in one of the tabloids last year linking Rotherham with McGinn and Naismith , I think , not much more than that

Dibbles old paperboy
More likely a Connor Newton connection or the guy who watched Newton for Rotherham when he was on loan to us.
Mr Zo
I hope Jason gets a new improved and longer contract thus remaining at St Mirren Park for a few more years to come. :-) It's a shame that we have a number of very talented young footballers at the club but sadly find ourselves slugging it out at the bottom of the table. Mid Calder Saint
Stevie is now manager of Reading but still has a strong interest in Saints.

Which suggests they may not all be quite as talented as we think! Naismith and Kelly create all manner of problems for us in defence. Saint Garf
Which suggests they may not all be quite as talented as we think! Naismith and Kelly create all manner of problems for us in defence. I think it's unfair to say they create problems. They're young guys who are still learning the game and it's natural that they'll make mistakes, they're also likely to go through spells of poor form. But they're talented players, and they'll continue to improve with support from the coaching staff and the stands. I'd certainly rather have them in our team than the opposition. djchapsticks
I think it high time Jason was given a stint at his natural position in the centre of defence rather than full back. He's clearly struggled there this season.
bluto
I widnae think Rotherham need defenders. Have they not got big Kirkie B?! Edited January 27, 2015 by bluto
matthew_irving
Spoke to naismith and he said he's heard nothing about it.
Drew
Jason is a big, strong player with a good shot on him, but possibly has a bit still to learn in terms of positional sense. It is difficult to know whether he is being utilised in his best position, and while he seems to be the only first team regular at the club who can play right full back, I can't see us finding out. I would be sorry to see him leave. A good asset to have in the squad.

Catch twenty two. IF we were more comfortable in the league I'm sure every one of the lads would shine. Unfortunately we need older heads to take the strain ATM. another alias
Which suggests they may not all be quite as talented as we think! Naismith and Kelly create all manner of problems for us in defence. Indeed. Hamilton also have a number of young players in their team, supplemented by rejects from other clubs such as Canning, Courier and one Dougie Imrie. Yet they are flying high in the league and have clubs willing to pay £ millions for their youngsters.

windae cleaner
Naismith would do well down in England Big strong boy with a good turn of pace With the right coaching he will do a right turn At us he does far too much he's our only attacking option down the right He also has to tuck in too often next to our right sided central defender to cut out the gaping channel

Joe Hughes left after that and Longwell took charge. Not a penny since... And our team of 'talented youngsters' have us struggling at the wrong end of the table!
