TopCat
Trolling, surely! What part? They aren't a political party as - as far as I'm aware - they have never stood for public office...

oaksoft
We are now making money by exploiting sectarianism and hatred. I don't care how much money is involved. We are now as bad as them. Seriously you need to go and have a lie down.

linwood buddie
Thank god the void isn't open yet, can you imagine non member old firm fans drinking in the members only club! Maimes will be making a fortune from Buckie sales tonight.
Dalrybud
I'm led to believe they have 'rented' the shop for this evening's game so far. However, what happens on Saturday? There is a wedding booked into corporate which is largely of a St Mirren persuasion in terms of guests. With pictures scheduled to be taken at the ground I would not be best pleased to see the place branded with another football club, whoever that club may be. foxbar_bud
We will be forever mocked for this. I bet it will be completly forgotten about come 25th July when we play Berwick!!
oaksoft
from branding and marketing point of view, to let them put the badge on the front of the stadium is just wrong. Allowing the brand of a business competitor to be promoted in the heart of the community that we should be actively encouraging to support st.mirren and become customers for years to come. Yet, it will be easier for a kid from feegie park with limited social mobility to buy a Celtic strip than a st.mirren strip. Now THAT is a more reasonable argument and IMO this is the problem we should be more worried about in terms of this sign. If we should even be worrying about it at all. St Mirren fans are by very definition anti-Old Firm. If we weren’t we would be supporting them. Being for something doesn't mean you are against everything else. Why would you possibly come to that conclusion?
kevo_smfc
well accept it cos it's happening. Celtic paying a load of money to use our stadium. We would be stupid to turn down the cash that would pay two players wages for a season. Any idea what figures were agreed for this agreement with Celtic Gary? santaponsasaint
Sell our soul for a few quid. Pathetic. what's pathetic is people like thinking we can afford to turn down this sort of cash. Only three games of football. Get a life ffs
saint in exile
Agreed, doesn't bother me in the slightest. As with any venue you rent out, you give the renter reasonable scope to customise the venue to their needs. After Celtic have played their games the signs will come down, ours will go back up, it will be quickly forgotten about and we will have money in the bank. And hopefully a couple of decent loan players from them too. Good business for all concerned in my book. Knowing how quickly our lot act, the Scumtic signs will probably still be there at Christmas! Soctty
I've got an idea. Why don't we have a Rangers Shop at one corner of the stadium, and a Celtic shop at the other corner? Think of the money we could make? That's what it's all about, isn't it?

Second Decay
Possibly the worst decision by the board since appointing Tommy Craig as a manager. It's like if you went on holiday and asked a friend or neighbour to check on your house and they end up replacing your own nameplate on the door and replace it with their own nameplate. Thorizaar
Many of the planks of wood in the first team last season were far more offensive than this plank of wood.
