Big_Mougie
The Herald is reporting that we are close to signing Mads Ibenfeldt a 30 year old, 6ft 6in, Danish central defender who has been on trial with the club. He was released by Southend at the end of last season. Edited July 6, 2015 by Big_Mougie

class of 76-77
Well he certainly fits the criteria of what many forum members have been crying out for. A BIG no nonesense centre half. FTOF
I'm weeping tears of joy as I type. Seems we've been waiting about 10 years for a behemoth CH. Looks a bit like McAusland though. I wonder if the McAusland haters, will manage to adapt to shouting, "Boooooooooooooooo. f**k off Ibenfelt". Also, from this article, I like the description below. http://www.southendunited.co.uk/news/article/040814-southend-united-mads-ibenfeldt-1802387.aspx He’s the sort of player we need. He’s big and physical at the back and is an excellent defender. Would appear it was a foot injury that kept him out. Thread from Southend forum. http://www.shrimperzone.com/vb/showthread.php?86586-Mads-Ibenfeldt Edited July 7, 2015 by FTOF

Stu
Seems to tick all the boxes. Big, experienced, available. Only problem is he's spent the last year injured - hopefully that's just a one off. Seems he'll be playing tonight as a trialist. Think that's the boy I saw in one of the training photos and wasn't sure who he was. Hopefully he's a bit calmer than the last former Southend defender to play in the Championship.

Magic Monkey
With a bit of Alan Russell thrown in. With a Bond villain name, too. Thommo up front, Murray on the bench, potentially Ibenfeld at CH... I might have to go full-time gay this season. The away shirts are pink, right?
