Lets be honest. We should have qualified from that group. And those who say it doesn't matter - it's just a diddy cup, etc, etc - seem to have forgotten our recent days out at Hampden.

We have ended up being the most unfortunate team across all of the groups with the points we finished on. It should have been enough to qualify, though unfortunately it wasn't.

As mentioned, three wins out of four, for what is still considered a pre-season period is still a decent return. We now go into the season more ready than we were 4 weeks ago.

It should matter a lot. The Scottish treble consists of the league title, Scottish Cup and League Cup. Even when we were a strong 1980s team and the OF were relatively weak, we couldn't win a title, so the cups are it. The cups are where St Mirren legends are made. The Scottish and League cups should matter hugely to everyone connected with St Mirren. Every season, without fail.

Not at all, according to the Scottish media, last year a treble consisted of the Championship, the Petrofac Cup and eh, oops those pesky hibees. Need to get them properly punished

League over before a ball is kicked and out a competition we can still go through in before the final game kicks off - even for you this is a new low !!!

Would you like to reconsider ?

Frog proved correct yet again.
