Money, Money, Money

ABBA sang it. Rangers learned it the hard way.

We are now on the path to majority fan ownership.

This may well be the way for the future for community clubs like the buddies.

Meanwhile, with no Roy McGregor around, the board have no choice but to go with the Austerity route until income grows since investment is very unlikely.

Realism is needed more than ever as a fan, supporter or customer of the club.

SOS is the song which follows this track.

This particular SOS goes out to all of us with an interest in the Saints to carry on, support the board, management and players through these tough times.

The question is - do SMFC have the money t get us out of this mess?

What mess if you mean where we are in the league then its not down to money its down to now having a manager that seems to know what to do what tactics are what plan A is but also have a planB. We have a decent squad although 1 or 2 additions would help but that could include bringing back Gordon who was jettisoned by the incompotent rae for what ever reason without really kicking a ball. Give ross a chance to gwt his feet FIRMLY under the table

Ben Gordon is back at the club. There is a new manager and assistant. These moves cost money. This constitutes investment in the club. Some new blood in January will help rebalanced the squad.

Our hoped for improved results in the Champonship this side of new year and progress in the two remaining cups in November would bring higher crowds and increased revenue.

Move into the top 6 by the end of the year or into the top 4 at a stretch and we should be well placed to invest further in our playing squad as one or two players also move on.

Building from this Base point is both possible and necessary.

Call it as you like but it is chicken and egg. Winning teams bring in more fans and more fans bring in money for better players.
