Stuart Dickson
Unbelievable. Fans riot on TV. Players are assaulted and a viewing TV audience witnessed some of the worst scenes of football violence since the early 80's in Scottish Football. Yet the SFA Judicial Panel has dismissed the disciplinary charges against both clubs. Both sides should have been booted out of this years Scottish Cup and at the very least heavily fined. The press are focussed on corruption in the English game, but by f**k is our game corrupt up here too.
rabuddies
As I posted elsewhere earlier. When the clubs voted against adopting strict liability a few years ago they were anticipating this very thing. If you don't have clauses in your code of conduct then you can't be accused of breaching them. At the time they voted against these rules the Scottish Government warned them that they might then legislate to make them liable in law. It will be interesting to see if they remember the threat given the current campaign against the existing football related legislation.Well who would've thunk it? antrin
The Hibs club and sevco clumpany had no input on how this match was handled. They actually were blameless. In this instance, at Hampden, the people "responsible" for ensuring control, safety and planning for the match were... ..the SFA! there was always going to be a fudge on this. They couldn't accuse and then punish/censure themselves. by dropping the charge against Hibernian football club (cos the charge was framed against Hibs FC - wrong name), it also allowed them to not get themselves into mega-Gordian-knots with the whatever the newco IS called and what it's fans and the SMSM try to call it. nothing to see here, move on. It's a wee diddy fitba organisation lording over wee diddy fitba clubs and clumpanies. And ignoring wee diddy fans, as usual.

Stuart Dickson
Meh, it was handbags at most. Nobody died. Move on The sad truth is that a death is probably exactly what it would have taken for the spineless shower at the SFA to do something.
