The Jack Ross and James Fowler Appreciation Thread

Recommended Posts

Slightly surprised to  see that Jim Clunie was our most successful manager (45.07% win percentage) - better than Alex Ferguson. During his reign, we won the Anglo-Scottish Cup and were third in the league(?). Mind you, he inherited Alex's team and was provided with funds to bring in some good players (e.g., brought in Dougie Somner and broke the then Scottish transfer record with McDougall, etc.).  Then somehow it went bad and watching Saints was no longer a joy to watch and big Jim left for Kilmarnock (where things didn't go too well for him there).

Starts a game with 4 full backs, 1 centre half and 1 striker. Go down to 10 men, get sent to the stand and still win 3-1.
How much more appreciation do we need to show!

Jack are James are hopefully turning our home into a fortress and teams won't like coming to play us.

This. Teams used to love coming to our ground as it was a great playing surface. Slowly that's changing.
