faraway saint Posted February 2, 2018 Report Share Posted February 2, 2018 Tuned in today to watch the Davis Cup, some unknown, Cameron Norrie from "Scotland" was playing a pretty damn decent Spanish player who had won me a few bob last season winning plenty matches. After watching the first 2 sets, the Scottish player was getting pumped, turned over and that seemed to help as he, astoundingly, won 3-2. There ye go, I should have had more faith. Like most sports when you have opponents who are fairly evenly matched it leads to a decent spectacle. 3rd set, 1 set all, Spain with the slight advantage. Great credit to him, although it'll be interesting to see if he uses this as a springboard to greater things as the commentators spout this when anybody has a short spell of relative success. Anderson won 26-24 in the final set, after playing 5 sets in the quarter against Federer. The winner will be ready to play in the final tomorrow against either Nadal or Djokovic.
