Houston, Duffy, McCall etc have all got the drop on Jack and his team and how to play us. I actually like Ross, but he really should have had a minimum of one season with us as an experienced managers asst before getting command of the ship.

McCall?  Ross has went up against him twice this season and has a win and a draw out of those games, hardly having the 'drop' on him (whatever that means).

Why do you always seem to end or include insults in your posts? Cant you just talk/debate without it?

Soctty is a serial abuser on the Forum, since he returned a few months ago. He should be permanently in the sinbin. Horrible individual.

I thought this thread was about Stephen mcginn?

It was. Someone mentioned the signings. 8 in 8 out, then summat' else, then Trump got involved and banned any new signings from predominantly Muslim countries... that's where it all started. Blame him.

Can't believe anyone would think of changing the manager. Have you thought about how many managers we have been through? Have you considered the cost to keep changing? The team have not given up we just need the defence worked on. Seriously can't  believe what I'm reading.

Have you considered the cost of relegation?

What's your opinion on the cost of sacking Rae six games into a league campaign?

Can you tell us who is advocating sacking the manager on this thread?

Can't expect miracles here but we've brought in a fresh squad, and it's now up to the manager to get them playing as a team and to address any areas we are still short in.

He has been given the resources to do it, and there is still room for further movement if he can swing it tomorrow or by bringing in free agents after the window closes.

It's a tough gig to build a team in January, especially when you are teetering on the brink of relegation to the third tier. You're operating on loans, frees and short term deals. That's the reality of where we are right now.

The board have done their bit to back their man and it's clear Jack & James have done a lot of work to identify and bring in the number of players we have done.

Ideally they would get time to knit the team together, but time is sadly something we do not have. The spirit and display in Dundee gave us hope but Saturday was a bit of a kick in the nuts apart from the last half hour, when there is no doubt that McGinn gave us something we were badly missing.

Hopefully Jack will find the solution and some sort of settled team before it's too late.

If we don't see any sign of tangible improvement before the end of the season then he can't be bullet proof but it would take an absolutely catastrophic run of results to show no sign of improvement whatsoever!

Let's get the same noisy support down to Dumbarton on Saturday that was in Dundee.  This will make a difference no doubt. A win and an ayr loss sees us cut it to four.  We then go to Ayr and what a support we would take that day if we were four behind.  We need the fans and we need to throw absolutely everything at this.

  • 4 weeks later...

As i commented on another thread, McGinn is the missing vertbrae in the spine of our team.

his box to box style of getting involved up, down and across the pitch releases Mallan, Morgan and Magennis to play more freely, and more in their best/natural positions. Hence we suddenly have pace, fluidity and can punish teams on the counter.

Been a long time coming, lets hope come the end of the season the team have managed to nullify the "if relegated" release clause in his contract.

Again on this forum people think they are smarter than others because they have a different opinion. McGinn & co starting to show the way. Let's all calm down see how this all pans out. It's not over yet either way but still in our hands. 2 great results though but needs to continue.

To be honest, some people on this forum are smarter than others because they are simply smarter.

You should probably learn to live with it and focus on being a bit less triggered by the words of other people.
