I'm not a regular poster but I regularly follow most of the threads..

It's been a success for me.

It's cut down on what is discussion for some, banter to others, bullying to a few and mindless drivel to many.
We are all Saints fans (I think), we all want the club to do well and have different views on how that's going to be achieved.
Some felt that they had been blessed by such an insight to what was wrong that everyone else was either too dumb or stubborn to see it..
Anyway less threats veiled or otherwise, fewer maniacal ramblings and not so many pointless threads has made the forum a better experience..

But that's just me, we're all different, and just because I don't like some content shouldn't mean we don't allow it...

So let bygones be bygones and let the prodigal children return, slaughter the fattened calfs and brace ourselves for what we are about to receive...

I miss Shull he made me laugh on at least one occasion.

To a lesser extent I miss StuD. I don't get involved with most of his nonsense but occasionally he made interesting posts.

That's not to say that they should be allowed back. It's Div's baw an all that. However the point about this being a "Tempers frayed" season is definitely true and perhaps it might be an idea to cut some slack.

If I understand it correctly Stu D wasn't banned he asked to leave and Shull was banned for winding up Div.

The sin bin was a fantastic addition to this fine little forum of ours.  A very welcome one that I sincerely hope will be utilised when the need most likely arises again.  The following three points will illustrate my reasoning behind my assertions.

1)  The sin bin not only gave me a bit of piece from StuDick but I dare hope that we may have seen the last of the pesky one.

2)  Skidmark Faraway got his botty skelped and although still a bit skidmarky his behaviour seems to have improved (if only slightly)

and

3)  Shull's unfortunate online meltdown seems to have halted.

The sin bin was a success, I shall toast the magnificence of the sin bin's impact over my next drink which I shall have now......in ten minutes I will be needing a pish!

Yeah I could do that. Anyone up for spending a few hours a week moderating the forum?

I can't pay you and you'll get dogs abuse from the other members.

Please let me know if you're interested.

This is it in a nutshell.

Moderation has been very loose to say the least. I tend to only step in when there's porn spam, or abusive posts. Apart from that I let the kids battle it out.

It's a thankless task (not that I'm looking for any), and on the very few occasions we step in and do something we get it tight.

Div does a great job and the approach to let it pretty much moderate itself is why it's busy in comparison with other forums. Every now and then it needs a major clean up and it tends to work well.

I wasn't a great fan of the sin bin, but it seems the majority liked it and maybe it's for the greater good.

Maybe once our team returns to winning ways everything will calm down and the forum will return to normality and be a pleasant place to spend an hour or two once again.

If the plan was to get rid of Stu Dick then it was a success.

Me personally, I'd rather ignore people who irritate me than hound them out. Some people find this difficult and only fuel the fire, this is as big a problem as the person who is lighting the match.

It seems to have been a "success" to people who wanted rid of one person.

If that's a success then so be it.

A sad reflection on people who can't tolerate or ignore one person.

As for the hoards of people who left because of him, well, that also says more about them than Stuart.

Just like Brexit the people have spoken, accept the result and the will of the people.

Remember the sin bin means sin bin. Get over yourself.  :double

Certainly (my perception) the forum has slowed down...................................can't be because Stuart/Shull have gone can it?

Maybe some members prefer it that way, helps them sleep.

Accept the decision of the people, the people have spoken. We have exited shull and Stu Dick. You are a remoaner. The people voted leave and they have left.

Get over it. :double
