Glastonbury 2017

Genuinely think you will like it. Very Stone Rosesish but I think more melodic. Every song stands up on its own right. One of these albums, once listened to a few times and you get to know the songs, you cannot put it down. Never off my Sonos system.

Probable due to Andy Couzens being an ex-Stone Roses guitarist. Good album though.

I'll stick with my Irish folk Music.

Even Daniel O'Donnell is more entertaining.

^^^^^^^ Aye, it's amazing that you're 89 years old and can still drive a taxi...................you are 89, right?

Your music collection is mostly dead people, that says lots.

1970 - Wasn't even called Glastonbury at that point. Good to see Al Stewart still going strong, saw him in May. Oh and who is this Mark Boland?

1998 - Ronnie Williams headlining - undoubtedly the evening rock music died as a force for rebellion - RIP.

2009 - Conscience of the nation Lilly Allen, Caligula and a dirty dingo - is that a real line-up or a Comic Strip spoof?,

2. Nile Rogers - What a back catalog (US spelling), loved the drummer singing Let's Dance - just the right side of Mark McAusland!

3. Shaggy - As a reggae dude who's been to see Marley, Tosh, Toots & many more I never thought I'd hear myself this but I loved his set even if it was well ripe! :green

So what was the year with the mass scaling of the perimeter by those without tickets, stabbings and rapes that resulted in the glasto we now know?

Eh?

There was an invasion of the ticketless and resulting violence one year that kinda changed the organisation and vibe of glasto. I was asking where that fitted in, year wise.

2000, there was no festival in 2001 and in 2002 the "super-fence" was built.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/2002549.stm

IIRC throughout the '90's it was expected that a certain amount of gatecrashing was inevitable but 2000 was out of control although not nearly as out of control as some of the rave parties in the early '90's which culminated in the current Assembly laws.
