He certainly did, he set up a bordello with the money he made from music but ended up in jail because of trouble with "minors" which was sorta repeated 20 years later when he had cameras installed in the ladies toilets of a restaurant he had set up - what is it with these old rock'n'rollers were none of them normal? Strange to think that his best selling record was "My Ding-a-Ling" (thanks pod!) although after reading the previous sentence maybe not - why was that record not banned? Little known fact is that he developed his style after hearing a young white student perform a rock'n'roll freak-out at his high school prom over the phone! rabuddies
Not a bad innings, considering he lived the rock n roll lifestyle. He invented the rock'n'roll lifestyle. In fact he basically invented rock'n'roll. Probably the most important pioneer as his style had influenced most of the guitar based rock & pop for the best part of 60 odd years. Johnny B Goode is still the only rock track that's been blasted into space to get the aliens bopping.
