I wasn't at palmerston so didn't witness the incident. The not guilty plea intrigues me - was he apprehended on the pitch / track?

I was there. the young man ran on the pitch when Mallan scored and joined I with players celebration

Apologies, got the sheriff's quote wrong yesterday as I was trying to do it from memory. It was actually: "It’s an important time for your team at the moment so I’m not going to ban you at this time."

Here's a programme from a game in 1962 when Celtic fans invaded the pitch to  try to stop a game we were winning 3 0 Tottie Beck played in that game and he signed the home programme
