TopCat
HT 1-1Pretty action packed half. We started poorly and Dumbarton hit the bar early on. We then ran down the park and scored with our first attack, good finish by Magennis.Dumbarton then went back to dominating, and got a deserved equaliser through a very nice goal by number 23. He then gave it the whole cupped ear routine to a bemused home crowd, fair play to the young fella though, whoever he is We then get a pretty soft looking penalty just on half time. Cue lengthy protestations from the Dumbarton players and at least one booking. Then our announcer Phil (who's last day working for the club is today, coincidentally I'm sure) starts the goal celebration music just as Loy is going to kick it. Unsurprisingly he takes a shite penalty and it's saved.Decent entertainment all in all, but we haven't been good enough. Need to improve hugely second half if we are going to get the win we need. Eric Arthur Blair
Whoever it was that blasted out the shite disco music over the PA just as Loy was about to take the penalty has a f**king good look at himself.
David Mc
2 minutes ago, Seaside Nipper said: We have been good for two single minute spells and that yielded a goal and a penalty. We need to move the ball quicker. It's pedestrian and written for a set rice header winner fir them unless we sort it. We can only improve.... That was very much the pattern at the cup final. We lack pace noticeably without Smith and Morgan both on the pitch.
magnus
Jack Baird looks like he is having kittens every time he is near the play and we keep passing the ball to him. Steven McGinn needs to step up and rip a few arses.
Seaside Nipper
We've played very poorly, but at the same time this might be the worst refereeing performance I've seen this season. He'll need to substitute his whistle. The most pedantic of cnunts..
saintargyll
always the hard way sounds like the performance we put in against the new saints we are a 2nd half team anyway
JJ McG
We are playing piss poor today, big improvement needed in the 2nd half. Why are we so shite at penalty kicks ffs.
Tommy
Reality check today. Very poor and really need to raise our game.
magnus
In fairness, Dumbarton are well organised and dangerous coming forward. Way better than Ayr. Still think we have the beating of them.
Drew
Dumbarton are a very disciplined outfit. They are stifling the play, then looking to hit us on the break. We need more composure in the midfield.

TopCat
Stelios in the book now. Scrappy start to the second half, feel we are badly missing Morgan. No fluency to our play. Looks like Sutton is coming on, good.
antrin
Aye..... Gave it another go, but... VERY difficult to make out what the St Mirren radio punters are saying.... can hear the ambient crowd noise fine..... Sigh..... In a game we have to win I'd have taken Irvine off and moved Stelios to RB but maybe with the booking it's the sensible option.
