That was the benchmark today. We couldn't, despite good endeavour, create anything against a very well organised part time team. We did miss Morgan and we need to inject pace into our play. Fair result, but dismal stuff tbh.

I'll take a bad performance between two good ones.

Full time 1-1

Fair result really. We weren't anywhere near good enough to get the win.

Thankfully other scores have went our way, so it's not as damaging as it could have been. Thanks Pars and Doonhamers.

Still though, that's another terrible result. Five games left now, four of them are away to the best four teams in the league. We will need to be far better than we were today if we are going to have any chance.

"Another terrible result". Really? We've won three and drawn two of our most recent league games.  We are off the bottom.  We have a better record than all the top four except Hibs in the last six games and every one of the top four in the last eight.

In this season yes.

This is our fourth game against Dumbarton this season. We haven't beat them once.

When you consider the clear difference in quality of players between the teams, this is quite remarkable.

And that is why Morton will beat us on Tuesday no Morgan no pace .

Alternatively JR could adapt his tactics to suit the players we have available. With Eckersly suspended we should play Stelios at LB Smith wide and Sutton & Loy upfront.

Despite the gap between us in the table I don't think Morton are anything special - I'd go at them on Tuesday night make it a good old fashioned blood & thunder derby!

Maybe not a terrible result but it certainly was not one of our better performances. We will obviously need to improve on this to survive our run-in to the end of the season.

I agree with you on both occasions.

That's an awful result especially with results going in our favour.

In form at home to a part time side we toiled massively. Riddled with basic errors and lack of creativity.

Massive improvement needed for the remaining games. I'd rather be safe than in a playoff.

The irony of our situation is that we could not beat Dumbarton this afternoon but we could win all (or any) of our remaining games if we play to our potential. The problem is (as others have pointed out) we will have to do it without Lewis Morgan.

Sorry for this duplicate again.
