saintnextlifetime
I know that we have had a few "worst ever" Saints players threads in close seasons gone by, but who would you now have in your best Saints 11 of all time ? I have thought about this recently over the years and generally I always come up with one of Fergies selections but now , I reckon I would add Teale and Thompson to my side . .We also now have plenty of our support who became firm fans in more recent times and never saw Fergies teams , what are their selections. . Good topic. I'm only going to go with players I actually saw and remember playing games for us. Rather than guys who are undoubtedly legends and others I'm too young to remember watching. So for that I'm going to be going from about 1993 onwards. Gk - Campbell Money RB - Paul Dummett LB - Ian Ross CB - Norrie McWhirter CB - Kirk Broadfoot LM - Lewis Morgan RM - Gary Teale CM - Andy Dorman CM - Charlie Adam ST - Steven Thompson ST - Barry Lavety Subs, John McGinn, Kenny McLean, Isma Goncalves, Iain Nicolson , Mark Yardley, Barry McLaughlin, Ludo Roy Edited May 18, 2017 by djchapsticks

Soctty
Too difficult to name an 11, so I'll name a few in each position, which might help me decide. My memory spans back til about 83 I think. Goalkeepers? Campbell Money, Ludovic Roy, Billy Thomson Full backs? Tommy Wilson, Derek Hamilton, Tom Black, Jack Ross Centre Backs? Peter Godfrey, Barry McLaughlin, Norrie McWhirter, Scott Walker Central midfielders? Tony Fitzpatrick, Billy Abercrombie, Jim Goodwin, Ricky Gillies, Andy Dorman, Stephen McGinn, John McGinn Wide Midfielders? Ian Scanlon, Junior Mendes, Gary Teale, Kenny McLean Strikers? Torfason, McAvennie, McDougall, McGarvey, Thompson, Goncalves, Lavety, Yardley Some shoehorned in, some perhaps not the favourite of some, but all players who I have admired. I may try and narrow it down to an 11, but I'll not be happy...
