To be fair Clarke could definitely have argued a case for right back. He was arguably the best, but Alex Beckett was one of my favourite players and Tommy Wilson was a cup winning legend (as well as a cracking marauding right back).

Clarke was the best defender i have seen playing for the Buds

Started out left back then right back

Then a spell as a central defender then into midfield

Tommy Wilson was flying in our first season and made a Scotland squad

Then Dawson done him at Ibrox in the first game of the season and ended out for the whole season

Never made those heights again though was still a capable full back

GK Alan Combe

RB David Van Zanten

LB Martin Baker

CB Roy Aitken

CB Norrie McWhirter

CB Will Haining

No place for this left back? Worth a shout if just for the look on Hartley's face.

Brilliant. We had a number of quality left backs but Martin Baker was my favourite in his 1st spell with us. I always thought he would have went on to be a Scottish international but between Killie and injury he was ruined and when he came back for a 2nd spell with us he was a shadow of the player that left.

Jure & Tess we’re close to being in.

Does anyone feel up to making an argument for anyone from the class of 20/21?

Are you new to this site

Let see how the team performs over the next 5 years with individuals getting plus marks every game before they are even considered

Don't think we have any legends in the making with possible exception of Cammy if he gets games and progresses

Since the heyday of this thread - winning the Championship in 2018 and our return to the Top Flight I'd say only 3 candidates - 2 keepers (and they are in both senses   Hladky & Alnwick) and the mighty, mighty Jeff King.

McGrath prob'ly deserves a mention in the Cult Heroes category for his spot-kick brilliance even if he did blot his copybook against Well last Saturday...
