melmac
Quite right - wrong man / men in the dock. And how much did that prosecution cost the public purse?

I agree with the DM quote, but come on Whyte was hardly innocent- they are all a shower of crooks and David Murray- who is the biggest crook of all, was not on trial The Ticketus deal was basically fraud
DougJamie
So this will all go away now Millions of public money so Rangers can wash their dirty laundry in public Murray should be given the Legal Bill
melmac
I suspect there will be the usual public outcry from the blinkered ones; accusing everyone but the obvious from being at fault; and charging all of the scottish media as being against them. There's a fair bit of irony that it's their former director that gets notsoWhyte off the hook. Ach well, I wonder what's for t.
Guest TPAFKATS
Old Donald played a blinder and I'm sure he was happy to get one over on Murray. Not sure what the fuss is about Whyte, he's never paid for anything with his own money from what I can see. It's not uncommon when you are in that kind of business. DougJamie
My main complaint is that we have had to pay for this charade
St.Ricky
I am not sure that I care one way or another about the outcome (But agree about the cost to the public purse)> It seems to me that Mr Whyte and Mr Murray were made for each other. Neither used their own money to buy the Club. Neither it seems, acted illegally. Could the actions of each be considered immoral? That is a different question with perhaps a guilty verdict on each. But - All of this stuff is about a big fish in a little pond. Much more important issues out there.

mcdowell76
Craig Whyte should be given a knighthood for his services to Scottish football. Great guy.
melmac
Watched former *** director Alistair Carmichael on BBC news earlier, he's either had a lobotomy, suffering from some form of dementia or a complete fanny.
cambiebud
Still got Charlie Green and Duff and Phelps cases to come and gloriously, The Rangers have to foot the bill for Green's defence, as it was in his contract!

The Rangers are an unconnected new club. IIRC, Ticketus took Whyte to court over it and it is now Whyte who owes Ticketus. I also remember some stuff at the time about how Sevco (Charles Green and co) were really just a front for Ticketus.
