Saint Garf
Good early test. Looking forward to it. Site seems to have crashed now, so can't see the rest.
norman
The first 6 fixtures are a real test, with most of the expected challengers at home and Morton away. We will know what end of the table we will be challenging by the end of them!
pozbaird
Excellent opening fixture. The smell of freshly-cut grass. The club shop open ready for the arrival of the new kit (Div has now predicted and missed ten new launch days). A big crowd (announced as 3,452). Tension building in the air as ST holders push PATG punters into the gutter. The waft of lukewarm Bovril and pish coffee (the wind is blowing from Hamilton direction).... ah, smell that? Smells like victory. I love the smell of Falkirk in the morning. Edited June 23, 2017 by pozbaird

pondsman
I agree with Saint Garf. We play the top teams in the first 6 games, so that will give us an idea of how well we can expect to do. The team will need to gel quickly or we will lose ground on the likes of United, ICT, Falkirk. COYS!
doonhamer
THIS is the reason I moved to Dumfries. To see us presented with the Championship trophy before Christmas. I knew there had to be a reason.
Stevie88
At least Rory Loy will more than likely be playing at the paisley 2021 stadium on the opening day....
DougJamie
It shows what a cracking League this is....... Take points from our first 2 games I am happy And just to add a touch of what could have been Raith away to Alloa then home to Stranraer ----- How depressing is that ?? This is why it's such a bonus to have 90% of our squad in place. Even if any of the trialists sign, they will have been with the squad since day one of pre-season. Hopefully that serves us well in the first few games.
DougJamie
Yeah but Ayr are PT, and really that's their level McCall said when they went down they will be favs to come back up? I would say is Raith, then Alloa then them, I am wanting Goodie to get promoted, still think he will succeed Jack

Nah mate here is the Shull "Once upon a Time" version that I am bought into The Jack Ross/ James Fowler Story 2017 - Save Saints from Oblivion 2018- Get Promotion Score over 100 League Goals and get to Scottish Cup Final 2019- Finish 4th Qualify for Europe 2020- Turn down Celtic but take up Everton. Jim Goodwin who led Alloa to 4th in Championship offered Saints job 2021- Win Champions League with Everton..... Goody win SPFL for Saints..... We only want winners at the club from top to bottom. Technically, the gap between the top sides and ourselves is pretty narrow. Mentality is everything. This is why I don't mind Fitzy talking about winning the SPL because IMO there is no excuse for not having that as a goal, otherwise what is the point. It is really nice not to be hearing whining about financial constraints.
