E=Mc2
Saw Rodney in a one man show recital of the book "three man in a boat" at Cottiers Theatre in Glasgow. Sometime in the 1990s. Had a good chat with him in the bar afterwards. Lovely man.
Bud the Baker
Read about his estrangement from James Bolam a while back - sad story. RIP

Stu
Interviewed him years ago for the paper as he was promoting his one man show in Castle Douglas. Very nice man. RIP.

RIP I recall a newspaper report that at a civic reception in newcastle to mark the filming of the Likely Lads movie, Bolam told the attendees that he hated the town, that he arrived on the last possible train in and would take great pleasure in taking the first available train out. Seems RB was better off without. Bewes always seemed likeable and genuine, sad to see him gone but he didn't look well for a long while

boomboomyards
The best likely lads episode was the one in which they try to avoid hearing a football score so they can watch the game later that night. Classic.
