There's a store where the creatures meet...

No Brookmyre was involved. He wishes and regrets not contributing. Probably. The rumours were not rumours. They were truths because of the fact that one of the alky squad was within the board room wearing a big hat and false moustache. The Sh!t was indeed ....hot.  HCJ.

Fanzines were great at that time. The Final Hurdle was an excellent Dundee Utd fanzine with great wit and superb contributions from people who went on to great things in . . Journalism.  Sort of.  Not really sure that (fanzine) kind of imagination and humour is replicated anywhere these days.  We can see journalists today trying to replicate it but largely failing due to their constraints. In saying that... The fanzine inspired On The Ball - on the BBC wi Tam and Stuart does a good job with their attitude, language and  humour on Radio Scotland.  Great job in fact. What is lacking is something tangible that people can look at months later or years later and laugh or cringe at.  Fanzines mark a period in time that take us to the styles, fashions and attitudes of that era.  Which can be embarrassing. Anyway. . . isn't Lewis Morgan just excellent to watch.  Much better than Paul  Kinnaird. Blah blah......
